was looking for a functional and inexpensive way to facilitate membership payments on my local photoclub website. This plugin absolutely works! Ive got three membership types; individual. I had been using another PayPal button plugin which stopped working when the developers made unannounced changes to the api.
I’ve been using WP Express Checkout for a little over a month and am really pleased with how it works. The presentation of the payment options is much cleaner and I really like the ability to have it appear in a pop-up, rather than in just a form on the page. The hooks and filters seem to be well thought out and give me the additional capabilities that I need.

Been using for several years, highly recommend this plugin to anyone, does what is says and possibly more. The one thing, that could be a premium offering perhaps, would be a Cart Payment add on. I and likely other users would happily pay a subscription for cart payment integration (multiple purchases and up selling options as opposed to single purchases per transaction).

I expected this to put a “Express Checkout” option in my Checkout page but that is NOT what this is for. This requires you to create the products you want to use this plugin with. It does not apply to your existing Woo products. I can see this being OK for small shops or if you have a blog and want to add a product to a page or post. But I do not see how this can work with an existing shop.

Its really nice to get a fully functional plug-in that works. Lots of customization options. Additional free features are available as add-ons. Great documentation and how-to videos. Easy to test with the PayPal Sandbox. The only thing I can’t seem to test in the Sandbox is the email to the buyer, but that might be a PayPal issue.
Also glad it works without WooCommerce. I have an art site that just doesn’t need all the overhead of WooCommerce so its really great to have this little tool to sell artwork. It works great on landing pages. I also use WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart Plugin by the same developers which provides shopping cart functions across the site.

This plugin does exactly what we need – a simple lightweight plugin to accept a quick payment. We needed it for a Donation solution (which it offers along with normal selling) and the fact that it supports Sandbox for testing is brilliant. Lots of options to customize including emails with personalized parameters. Plus super fast & efficient support! Recommended for a quick payment solution.

I was able to integrate everything, even the action hook works. Although I have excluded plugin and theme conflicts, card payments work, but PayPal payment does not accept the login that works on paypal.com. Since I don’t need paid addons, I have no possibility for support and can’t fix the problem. So for me the plugin has to go out again.
EDIT: Not accepting my paypal login must have something to do with my account. I had the error not only with this plugin. For those who the functionality is sufficient I can recommend the plugin.

This is a excellent plugin! Very easy to use and very good docs.
Only thing missing is ability to set a minimum price for “pay what you want” option. Other than that all around great plugin.

After weeks of looking through different plugins I think this is the best solution for anyone who wants to:
1. Sell digital goods in the most simplest way
2. Sell digitals w/o forcing clients to create accounts or provide their data on your website (which is very important because you dont have to worry about customer data protection on your site

I was in need of a simple & easy payment solution without using WooCommerce. It was just a plain WordPress website and I had three service packages, very straight forward. I found the plugin in Google Search and the instructions are very easy. Most of the work already have been done by the plugin developer, and even the plugin creates a “Thank You” page for confirmation. Very easy to use & I recommend this plugin.
