It doesn’t work on PHP 8.1 due to an error in debug_log, and in that case, the download dialog doesn’t appear. However, it works perfectly on PHP 7.4.

Plugin imports pages instead of widgets

This worked out just great, thanks for saving me some time! Great job.
It is a little jarring to have to re-import authors, when I know the menus I want to import are only by one author, but I guess that is what comes along for the ride with WordPress using the default export tool.

Do what I expected

A useful addition to my plugins and works with custom menus created in Elementor Pro.

yes this plugin works well under WordPress 5.4.1. no problem !

Imports the menu’s like promised.
Gives errors on already known pages/posts, but doesn’t overwrite them. So no problems!

Importing shows it “fails” and says “pages” already exists. However the menus showed up in the Menu area.

Worked well for what I needed it to do.

Nope doesn’t work as expected or stated. Exports out pages instead. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve tested this plugin because I needed an XML export of my custom menu (menu item name, menu item link, with the correct order and hierarchy of menu items).
This plugin creates an XML file, but it contains not only the menu items, but the content as well, and it does not really export custom menus but just a flat list of post/pages. So I don’t see the value this plugin adds to the standard export functionality of WordPress.
And by the way: Please don’t put advertising for all your plugins in the plugin description!

I just wanted to say thank you for this plugin, I’ve been using it for a while and it works fine when I’m exporting a demo site. It adds another option under Tools -> Export called “Navigation Menu Items”. I use the “One Click Demo Import” plugin to perform the import of the XML file and it works well, but after importing you do have to go to Appearance -> Menus and select the Main Menu.

It does not work on individual menu items only actual menus. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I can’t choose which menu to export
Export file contains unnecessary information
If you call you plugin Export WordPress Menus, make it possible to do it

Если по каким-то причинам меню не попали в экспортный XML – поставьте этот плагин.
Спасибо!

The instructions are incomplete, so here’s a quick rundown if you’re trying to run it:
– After you’ve activated the plugin, a new option should have been added to the Export function (Tools > Export) that lets you export navigation menus. You can choose that option and save an XML file.
– In the target site, you run the WordPress importer (Tools > Import). You might need to install the WordPress Importer tool if it’s not already installed–it will tell you on that screen. You then run the importer and use the XML file you downloaded.
HOWEVER, the plugin doesn’t work properly. It creates the new menu with the correct title, but the menu structure is completely empty. Which negates the whole point.

Is that possible that Three developers cannot fix importing menus, What’s happened to the world, I feel like we returned back to the Ice Age, Should I repeat all menu items for 10 demos !!!!!!!!???
HELP Guys, It’s very easy to fix

must follow the instruction guide

The plugin installs but you cannot export. The “export” button mentioned in the documentation does not exist so the main purpose of the plugin is moot.
No documentation how to use it either, just three different ways how to install it.

Worked fine. I would add one more step to the process though. After the menu is imported, you need to go to the Appearance | Menus tab, select the menu name from the drop down box, and at the bottom of the page, select “Primary Navigation” and save the menu.

Good

This plugin did its job beautifully.
My only problem was installing it directly from WP: even when I wrote its exact name, this was not the first plugin returned, but the last on the page. Still, I think this is WP problem and has nothing to do with the plugin itself. I suppose it will get higher as it gets more users and reviews.
