The plugin does not remove the login field from the registration form, so users still need to enter a login name.

Works well

This was a great plugin, but WordPress 4.5 introduced the ability to login with email so it is not longer needed.

Using this plugin users can login using their emailid as well as username. Works with buddypress as well. Thanks

Esto debe estar en Core.

In spite of the misleading description of this plugin “Use your email address instead of a username” it actually allows to use BOTH username OR email to log in, which is what I needed ??

Great plugin. Works fine with BuddyPress too.

Sites everywhere allow for a username or email to be used. Everyone knows this from places like Facebook. So WordPress sites that don’t allow an email address login are confusing to end users.
This plugin fixes the issue. Can’t live without it!

One of the most simple but gratifying plugins. This should be the standard WP behaviour. Thank you plugin authors!

I’m really not sure why this hasn’t been implemented in core yet, but this is critical WordPress kit.

This plugin works flawlessly on a site I run that uses S2Member. After activating the plugin, users are now able to login with either their existing username, or their email address. This is great, as it doesn’t break the login functionality that existing users are used to.
Installation is a breeze (it’s a one-click install from the wp-admin Plugins screen), and there are no config options – just install and activate to get users logging in using either email addresses or passwords.

Seems to work perfectly with s2member!
A year-old post on the s2 forum said that s2 custom login would not update when this plugin is installed to indicate that email login is possible. s2 seems to have updated their software to use the base WP login prompt ’cause it works for me.
Thanks for a very useful plugin. Wish this would be added to the core!

Thanks -works wonderfully. Great idea, this is much simpler for my clients who cannot remember their usernames, or passwords or where to login ??
This will make things easier and it is working with no problems!

My clients will no longer need to remember login like “very-unique-admin”. Veru useful!

I have tested this plugin on a WP 3.5.1 multisite environment which I set for testing purposes. So far, everything seems working correctly. I’m going to use it on a real website now.
