I didn’t realize I’d need FTP login info to set this plugin up. So I couldn’t complete the form that pops up when first activated. When I tried to add another plugin, it hung up, and now the site is totally dead. I imagine the server is hung up in some process loop.
REALLY needs a “Cancel setup” button.
]]>I will happily promote this plugin on any forum thread or site discussing plugin or image upload problems or problems with file permissions. I am dealing with one hosting company that has a bizarre setup for file and folder permissions. If not for this plugin, I’d have to chmod the uploads folder to 775 and the plugins folder to 777 which I do not want to do for security reasons. Thanks again!
]]>I was a happy user of your wp easy upload plugin on wpmu 2.9.2 (plugin only accessible to me as site admin) but since I upgraded to wp 3.0.1 with multi site I can’t upload any PHP files since they do not meet the security options (I as the site admin can define the type of files that can be uploaded).
So the question would be is there a way to circumvent this? I often work while on the road without FTP access so the plugin was a life saver.
]]>First off, I have to say this plugin is AMAZING, and makes many dreams come true ??
my main reason for wanting to use the plugin was to find a way around the file upload size limitation without getting into modifying .htaccess or php.ini files.
it seems like something gets wonky when I try to upload large files (around 120MB). After choosing the file to upload, the system begins it’s process and refreshes the page without any confirmation of the upload. It’s also nowhere to be found on my server.
Not sure if it’s something with my hosting account (dreamhost) or something with the plugin, but if you have any advice, it’d be greatly appreciated ??
