Hi everyone,
does this Plugin work with PHP Version 8.2?

]]>Hiya! I noticed today that the update for WP Core 6.2.1 wasn’t showing up on my site. By process of elimination, I found that WP Downgrade is hiding the update message and showing 6.1.1 as the “latest” version of WordPress.
Image blocks don’t seem to be working for me here. Here are the image links.

Is this because of differences in the translation file?
EDIT:
I tried then to upgrade to version 6.1.1,
but there was an error. Supposedly that this version doesn’t exists.
But in the update dashboard section the download was possible (after the second reload and click).
But the errors above still occure again.
It’s not criticial for me, because it’s on a localhost. Just to inform you.
Thanks for your work
Jürgen

Hi,
after one of the updates on the cumulative update page I had a series of bugs. Do you have any suggestions regarding these errors?

I went through the WP-Downgrade instructions and after I got the third prompt to Update the core on the update page I never got the fourth one which is to click re-install 5.9.3 on the update page. I even deactivated all the plugins to check if there was a compatibility issue that was the case but no difference.
The thing is that I’m using another plugin called LiteSpeed Cashe to increase site speed and improve user experience. I had to change the CNAME and NAMESERVERS for the domain to use this correctly. I’m starting to think there is an issue with that setup that’s blocking the rollback because I know that it has to connect to the site hosting provider in order to re-install.
Can someone help me confirm this hunch? If that’s not the case what do I do??
To also point out:
I used Fillzilla to access the site folders to roll the WordPress version back manually using the SFPT Credentials given, but that didn’t work either. I looked around to find the FPT Credentials but couldn’t find/Identify them. So I went to WordPress Support and asked, and they told me that it’s not possible to roll it back at the moment.
Dude, I’m so confused.
]]>Hi, thanks for a great tool. I recently downgraded to an older WP version (5.4.2), but I now need to get back into using the latest WP versions. I removed the version number from the WordPress Target Version: field, and WP now reports that I’m running 5.9.3 – but is that really the case?
I didn’t see any WP installers or similar after I removed the version number from WP Downgrade’s WordPress Target Version field, so I have a hunch it may really be running 5.4.2 still. Can you help explain?
Thanks,

Hi
I do not have access to my site anymore.
While downgrading core I had HTTP ERROR 500.
Maybe the downgrade process was not successfully finished
How I can get my site back the easy way with updraftplus (I have a backup) ?

this topic to report that an update of the plugin, tested with the recent versions of wordpress, is needed. Currently at the end of the procedure (which concludes the downgrade / upgrade) a critical error message appears, and the installations result unstable!
thanks in advance

Hi
I just downgraded to 4.7.1 as the update wasn’t working for me with my theme. My site had completely disappeared, I can’t even log in to Wp-admin. It’s been half hour and when I’ve downgraded before it’s never taken this long. I am hoping it’s just updating but my anxiety is going through the roof. Is this normal? If so how long can the maintenance phase take? Please help!

]]>Hi there,
I used this plugin some weeks ago to downgrade my WP and I updated it again to the newest version after that.
Now Wordfence finds a lot of issues and after a google search I read that this may be due to a downgrade. I read that these issues may just be files that were installed at the downgrade. Unfortunately Wordfence keeps finding these issues and I wonder if I could just delete these files?
For exmaple these are:
Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/sodium_compat/autoload-php7.php
Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/rest-api/search/class-wp-rest-post-format-search-handler.php
Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/tooltip.js

After choosing the target version and saving the changes, when I click on the Update Core button the ‘Re-install now’ option doesn’t display to me on the next page.
I have tried disabling all plugins and doing the update but no luck. I removed the reference to gd-config.php in wp-config.php but this didn’t work either. I don’t really want to try switching to a standard theme as I am concerned I will lose settings in my current theme.
Is there anything else I can try to get the Re-Install Now button to show?

Hi!
Your plugin REALLY saved our website by downgrading WordPress. Thank you VERY much.
Now that everything works perfect, is it safe to deactivate WP Downgrade? Or do we need to keep it to avoid WordPress from updating?
Thanks a lot.
