I’ve set up the Discussion Board plugin on my website. My problem is that I want registered users to be able to post replies without my having to moderate those replies. (Now replies posted by users say moderation is required. I do get an email, but when I click on the link, there’s nothing that enables me to moderate the post.) I just want the Discussion Board to operate without any moderation on my part.

I’m getting the following error

This line is

$position = $options['categories_position'];

I’m not sure why the options do not exist as expected. I went to the settings and saved each tab but that did not resolve it. If I edit the line like this the error is resolved:

$position = is_array( $options ) && isset( $options['categories_position'] ) ? $options['categories_position'] : '';

When clicking ‘see all topics’ there is no redirection any more to the board content. Instead a “page not found” is displayed. Redirection url didn’t change and is still “https://www.onyx-one.com/board/name_of_the_board

I am trying to do a test topic on my site using DiscussionBoard Pro, which is working fine. However, when I am trying to do a test comment, I keep getting a warning at the bottom that says “Please login to comment”, even though I am already logged in. I am using a test account to do this. Before I spend time trying to configure the plugin could someone tell me whether it is possible by default to have the most recent posts displayed first and the latest posts displayed last?

This would mean the reader sees the latest posts first rather than having to scroll or click on a page number to find the latest posts.

I have set up a Discussion Board. In Settings > User, new users register as subscribers, and permitted poster role has subscriber selected. In WP > Settings > Discussion Settings I have checked the box Allow People to Submit Comment on New Posts, but there is no option to reply to a post. What should I do next?

Here are couple of notes for you.

Can’t reply to topics or topic’s reply section missing
—? There might be several reasons for this. When viewing a topic, the comment fields aren’t visible so it’s not possible to respond to the topic. Here are the reasons why you can’t reply to topics or topic’s reply section missing:

• You are not logged in. You must be logged in to post a comment.
• Your theme template doesn’t include comments. Try switching to a standard theme like Singularity theme temporarily.
• The option “Allow people to submit comments on new posts” was not enabled or checked? You can check it by navigating to your website dashboard > Settings > Discussions.
• You have incorrect roles set for viewer / poster. Go to Discussion Board > Settings > User to ensure that users have the capability to view and post.
• Some of the themes have an option to disable or enable the comment section. Make sure it is enabled.
• You have an active plugin that disables comments.

Hi there – I am trying out Discussion Board plug-in and testing to see if we can use the PRO version for our website. I have the normal plug-in version loaded on WordPress and I can see it appear on the Test Site. However, it is not reflecting on the live webpage.

Any advice on how to publish it to the live website as it does not seem like it is automatically loading there? I initially thought it may be a caching issue, but it has been over a weeks time since I loaded on the plug-in.

I was wondering if it is possible to customize the login page for the WP-discussion plugin. What I mean is, instead of using the shortcode, if it is possible to customize it and have the plugin to use your customized login page. What I mean, is that I used a customized login page for my WordPress site, using WPForms, and I want to apply that to the discussion board. This is because I have the option to use 2-factor authentication for users and I want to apply this to the WP-Discussion board plugin. Hopefully I am making sense.

I’m new to WordPress in general so if I don’t know a lot about that.

When I try to access (New Topic) page I see a error message ” You’re not currently permitted to view this content. Please log-in or register in order to view the page ” But the problem is that I already made an account.

I am doing some updates for my boards, and I was wondering if there is a way for admins and subscribers to post to a board, instead of one person. To make it more clear, I am trying to set it where both admins and subscribers can post topics instead of one or the other. Is this possible, or do you have to edit this in one of the php files? If it is not possible, I would like to see this ability in the future.

I am trying to create different kinds of boards, but I cannot get them to be displayed when people post new topics and it asks to select a board when creating a new topic. What do I need to do in order to do that? Also, is there a way for members to force to select a board instead of posting in the main feed, if that makes sense. If I need to paste the short code for each board, where do I do that?

I Lost LOGIN to WordPress LOGIN ADMIN page. I clicked on the check mark for Prevent wp-admin access
Redirect users away from the dashboard and hide the toolbar on the front-end. And expected a NEW ADMIN link to be emailed to me. But I never received one now I’m LOCKED out of my WordPress ADMIN Page. Any help with this issue is appreciated ASAP. Thank you JP
