I use this plugin on all the sites I work on and it reduces speeds. I only wish author would update it more, because it would be a shame that such a great plugin would go to waste.

This did a great job reducing useless requests and code for emojis, loading dashicons for non-admin users and things like that. It’s a simple install and, as mentioned, it is a free and open source plugin that competes nicely with some paid plugins.
If you just want to get rid of emojis, try Autoptimize (the Extra settings) or Ryan Hellyer’s Disable Emojis plugin, but you’re still going to have all the other stuff this gets rid of.
If you want to pay money, you can match this and maybe get rid of a bit more cruft with the perfmatters Premium plugin ($25/yr).
In my experience, it’s pretty common for an optimization plugin to cause a 500 error. There are a lot of little things that can go wrong and if you are trying to push performance by doing things the platform (WordPress) is not designed to do (in fact is designed NOT to do), you have to be ready for some collateral damage.
In my case, this plugin worked flawlessly, but I would recommend that any plugin like this be tested on a staging platform first and then deployed to a live site.

Hello,
This is my first review, and i am doing it, because the atual ranking is unfair. The plugin should have more positive reviews and more downloads.
It’s a free plugin, with no adverstising. But have the same and more feature then premium or freemium plugins. Just compare it with perfmatters or clearfy (these last, don’t have Woocommerce configurations, for example).
Lets be fair, install and compare all.

I usually do not post reviews unless something is extremely good or extremely bad.
This one falls into the EXTREMELY BAD category. It literally took my site down with a 500 error. I had to manually go into WP, delete the plugin folder, go into my DB and deactivate all the plugins there to finally be able to get into my admin menu and start reactivating those plugins that work.
If you try to do a CLI uninstall through the php script, it returns an error.
STAY AWAY.

? So great! Took <15m to get 2 sites to load in under 3s!
It took me about 15 minutes to do for both my WP sites just now, and it works by allowing people to simply toggle on/off WordPress features they don’t need.
Granted, I am able to disable almost everything because I don’t need many of WordPress’ built-in features, but that’s the point.
Excellent job on this plugin folks. ?? Thank you and keep up the good work!

I used this plugin to optimize the speed of my website and I had an Internal Server Error and the website went down.

I do not know if the plugin actually did what it said it was going to or not, but after installed it my time for first bite was 1.2 seconds. I ran the test 10 times and checked my server to make sure it was not loaded. I disabled the plugin and TTFB is now under 0.3 every time.

thanks for this plugin

The bloat reduction is a nice idea, but had no impact on GTMetrix reports. Tested this on two different wordpress websites.

I’ve been running this plugin for some 4 months and I’m very happy with it, imo this is a must have plugin if you are using wordpress and woocommerce.
Its better than other plugin espaccly if you want a light and fast plugin and if your website is on a share host server.

Nice work.

don’t bother. this is part of a package of plugins. Each plugin is named differently and from a different developer. It took me 30 minutes to figure out what was part of the package so that I can uninstall.
The menu said one thing and the plugins said something different. Each plugin was from a different developer, very misleading when the menu says one thing. Almost impossible to totally delete from your system.
When a plugin is doing that by putting multiple items on your site, who know what is being installed.
AVOID!!!

In my opinion – Avoid this plugin.
In WP Dashboard >> Plugins there is no feature to deactivate or delete this plugin.
I had to remove and then manually edit the database.

No option to remove plugin – Not cool

Respect for the plug in’s intent, but it is trying to do too much too soon and without any consistency or documentation.
If you stumbled across this as a new wordpress user without any other non standard configuration nor any intention to customise your site in the future, it might well fulfill a lot of the tasks needed to keep your site running smoothly. Disable bloat, caching and image optimisation all under one roof – sounds great right?
Except it isn’t.
The slick interface may lull a novice user into a false sense of security. Among the many and random options there is no explanation of their function, nor most importantly of their potential to clash and overlap with other functions – both at server level and in other plug ins. The ‘under one roof’ benefit of the cache aspect is lost as it simply installs somebody else’s caching plug in separately. Anybody who knows anything about optimisation knows that caching is an area most likely to cripple or cure – and no disrespect to the caching author, but i’ll go for a product i’ve heard of and can asses separately every time.
The image optimisation is baffling. It says it can be controlled under a tools menu that doesn’t exist, and there is no indication if it is working. It is not clear if you get 1,000 images before you have to pay or if you have to pay to get that first 1,000, or if the 1,000 refers to images or the compressed thumb versions (my theme creates 20 sizes per images for example – so it makes a huge difference.)
The lack of consistency extends to database tables. It calls itself a completely different name, as it does the tables for caching and images.
all of this is best reflected come the decision to delete. so far i have deactivated 5 or 6 times after trying all of the following additional steps and still can’t get it to delete itself. 1) reactivated and deactivated function by function in all 3 components, 2) hunted for the tools for images menu – can’t fund that anywhere, 3) hunted and located the plug in’s 3 database tables ran checks, repairs and clears. 4) removed the separately installed cache plug in. 5) visited the online manual – not a single entry on any subject 6) flushed server, cdn and wp caches. 7) shouted at my computer. But still, it will not delete.
If this was one of those quirky little ambitious tools written by a geek that just didn’t work on my install i’d have given a 4 star and encouraged them to keep at it. But this isn’t. It claims to be a lean keen optimising machine when in reality it is a load of switches that could just as soon kill your site as improve it, and it has no information, no texts, no explanations at all as to what it is doing or how it is doing it. It cost me a few hours of my life i’ll never get back – and for that – 1 star.

This plugin is one of the best things ever created for wordpress.
Reduced the panel sluggishness, my site has many editors and more than 100 million visits per month.
Please continue working on this plugin.

Google loves websites have great content and lightning fast speed. This WP disable plugin removes bloats, tunes WordPress to suit your requirement, and ensures your website content reach to visitors in no time.
Since I tuned up my website with WP disable, I see tremendous growth in page views. Now my website visitors do not have to wait for 3 to 4 second to load a page…touch a link you are there.
Thanks to WP disable Plugin I see fall in bounce rate and increase in page view per visitor thereby increase in daily time spent by visitors on my website.
This WP disable plugin is must for small website owners who lack financial muscles to hire a developer to tune up their website for great speed thereby ensure great visitors experience.

Installed the plugin trying to optimize my site, all I wanted was to disable emojis.
I tried a lot of runs, testing with pingdom tools, I tried with different settings and also with only the Emojis disabled. But I could see my page speed gained approximately 1 second.
This is probably a very good plugin if you haven’t already installed a good caching plugin, but for me, the combination of my site and this plugin did not helo.

This plugin does the same, as half a dozen of plugins that I got accustomed to using the past decade. Easy installation, great management interface, and a highly recommended installation for any wordpress platform! Thus yes … I switched to this plugin for all wordpress based sites I have and manage for others.

This plugin works great! It adds a lot of nice little optimizations all under one roof. Highly recommended.

This plugin is a must have for all WordPress installations!
Its lightweight and really makes a difference to your WordPress performance. No need to add code manually anymore or have several plugins to achieve what this plugin does all in one.
Already have this running on 30+ installations now and not a single fault.
Looking forward to further development!

Simple and lightweight. It would be great if you add some importance feature about security headers for next update. You can check here -> securityheaders.io
