I found what I’m looking for but after install the plugin I see 1 post in every category even there are more posts.

I have your plugin installed on the 2014 theme. It is activated. When I go to plugin>custom category>decorative concrete driveway and check the category it shows that it is assigned to wpccp. That says it should be active. I open the post>category>decorative concrete driveway and it shows that it is built into wpccp and updated. When I open the home page and click on the category it show a page that says content not found. When I hover over the category it shows the content as a dropdown/child. I want the category to BE the page I post all the content to. I thought that is what wpccp was supposed to do. What am I doing wrong?

If I select NOT to use WP Custom Category Pages content, I get the full post but I’m missing the text that I put into the Category Copy box.

I have been an enthusiastic user of your plugin. However, after configuring a number of custom category pages successfully, I can’t create any new ones.
For instance, this category page was created last month and works just fine: https://www.oneearthsangha.org/topics/earth-sangha/.
However, the new “Category Page Test” fails https://www.oneearthsangha.org/topics/test/ The category has a simple name, slug and description as well as very simple title, headline and copy (all fields are short, plain text). Upon reviewing source, no references to wp_ccp_plugin are generated. You’ll also notice that the main menu has been corrupted as the link to “Home” uses the test category’s headline text.
Note that I have customized the source of “archive-category.php” but reverting to the original version of this file results in identical failure: no references to the wp_cpp_plugin and a corrupted menu.
If I switch the test category so that it doesn’t use WP Custom Category settings, it works fine and correctly shows the one categorized test post.
I have tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. The problem persists.
Unfortunately, our site’s basic design as well as a new initiative rely heavily on custom category pages. I am happy to send any source that would illuminate the problem. I so appreciate any help you can provide.

]]>I am using the Genesis child theme “Focus”, and I cannot get the plugin to display my category landing page properly. It is returning a Genesis filter error that there is no content that could be found. I have scoured the code for the child theme, and there is nothing there that should have this effect. If I revert to the Parent Theme Genesis, the problem goes away.
I have worked my way through the code, and found that the issue has to do with line 74 in template_handling.php:
add_filter( 'wp_trim_words', 'wp_ccp_plugin_fix_fake_content', 99999 );
If I comment it out or change to:
add_filter( 'wp_trim_words', $text,...
the Genesis error goes away, and I get the links to the posts like I am after.
However – the title to the most recent post is still being displayed.

When I asked for help, I got a hint saying this:
“Ironically, Twenty Twelve doesn’t format the title correctly. That said you can use Yoast WordPress SEO to format category page titles you would like. This works well with my plugin which allows you to add content to the category pages. This is what I do for my themes using twenty twelve.”
I use the Twenty Twelve Theme on WordPress 3.6.
And I have WordPress SEO by Yoast.
Example of what I tried:
I create a category called Resor (Travel in Swedish).
I add my description in the WP Custom Category Pages section and I also activate it by choosing YES.
I scroll down and add the SEO Title (this is the Yoast section) and there I write resor. The <title>-tag on that category page is changed from what ever it was before to <title>resor</title>
When I choose that category this page is opened:

If I have the plugin activated, the page is blank. If I deactivate the plugin, the text I wrote for the category is there (of course).
I would really love to use this plugin I just don’t get what I need to do?

I love the sound of this plugin, but I think my theme is stopping it from working.
When I edit a category and write some custom content, and title, it strips out everything on the front end, so there’s nothing being displayed in my main content block. When I disable it, the posts reappear.
I’m probably not asking the correct question, but is it possible to manually add something to my category template to make this plugin work?
I’m not much of a PHP coder, but the category template calls the head, the loop and the footer, so there’s only 3 lines of code. Everything then is done in the loop (which is what disappears when I create a custom category)

The plugin settings page is only showing an option to select the default template. The new template is not showing there.

I installed v1.2.1 of the plugin today, and unfortunately when I enable the custom feature for a category, nothing displays where the title and the text would’ve gone, just the two right-hand sidebars (one containing the social buttons and the other one containing the language, search box, recent articles and recent comments) provided by the Yoko theme. Is this one of the known issues with certain themes, or would this be an issue introduced in the latest version? Or have I just done something wrong. Will appreciate your feedback..
