Hi, first of all, thank you for this plugin. I don’t need the Yoast to 301 redirect authors on the homepage. This one is pretty decent handling the author archives. Though I only have one question, is there a way to modify the “View all posts by author” when hovering on the author link? I am using a custom link that redirects it to the About Us page; therefore, the hover info is irrelevant.
Thanks in advance.

Getting the following error since today, I saw 2.0.0 has just been released and it auto-updated on my website. Disabling the plugin fixed it. WP version 6.5.4

Hi,
When I initially install the plugin and set up the custom author URL, it works for about 5 minutes. But after that it gives ‘ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS’ error ??.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks!
Setup the author redirect URL to go to https://www.greatlakesdentalpartners.com/company/leadership/daniel-dohnalek/ when author link is clicked but its not working.
]]>Hi there. I already have a “301 redirect” plugin installed on my page, and thought about manually redirecting the author pages to the custom author page URL’s with a manual 301 redirect. Is there any good reason to use “WP Custom Author URL” instead?
]]>Hi –
Just came across this plugin and it’s exactly what I need. However when I try to Activate, I am getting an error message
“The plugin does not have a valid header.”
I’m currently using 5.9.3 but about to upgrade to 6.0
Any and all help appreciated! ??
]]>Hi there,
Typically, if I visit the blog page of my website and click the name of an author I see a page with all the authors posts, e.g:
https://www.myiwe.co.uk/author/testauthor/
/testauthor/ in the above instance represents the first and last names of an author.
If I click on the name of the author who is admin, I would expect to see:
https://www.myiwe.co.uk/author/anthonyewers/
However I don’t see that, I see:
https://www.myiwe.co.uk/author/admin-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2/
If I then use WP Custom Author URL plugin to set the authors page to:
https://www.myiwe.co.uk/author/anthonyewers/
I then get a 404 page. Can you help?
My site is currently behind a htaccess login.
]]>Hello,
Your plugin allowed me to change the author url on all my pages and it works perfectly.
I noticed that since some minor changes (including adding the plugin), my Google Analytics account no longer collects data.
Analytics has been running for years on my site without trouble, i’m searching why this service stopped suddenly.
Could this be related to the plugin and the way to validate my domain with Analytics ? (I will try to change the actual validation method)
Thanks in advance
I think the class-wp-custom-author-url-public (and admin) classes should skip the enqueue of the placeholder CSS and Javascript to cut down on site load time.
