I have the WP Config File Editor on my WP hosting account.
After choosing the raw code, I added some debug code, then pressed the Save button.
When the debug did not happen, I inspected the config file again and it seems that the code was either not saved, or it reverted to the pre-saved state.
I could use some guidance to sort this out. I assume that one has to have admin access, which I do, to even edit, much less save, the file.
Thanks.

]]>Hi, I’d like to convert an existing site to a WPMS network, adding localised sites in this format: mydomain.com/city1 and mydomain.com/city2
What should I type into the fields in the plugin’s dashboard?
the fields are:
Domain: (should this include the https:// )
Root Path: (would this be the domain + the /localised name?)
Site ID: (should I have a hidden site which uses the root domain as ‘ID0’)
Current Blog ID: ?
Primary Network ID: ?
Thanks in advance for help.

]]>I’m going to write few steps that would help recovering wp-config.php file in case someone couldn’t access WordPress Dashboard after saving wp-config.php file through WordPress Config File Editor
This method required FTP access to the website where the wp-config.php file is located
1. Open the backup file through FTP
2. Select and copy, the encoded content.
The encoded content would looks like “return array( ‘content’ => ‘PD9waHAKLy……=’ )
Copy all text that start from ‘PD9’ until the ‘=’ symbol
The encoded data might looks different, I’m just given an example.
3. Open the Web browser and go to https://www.base64decode.org/
4. Paste the encoded data just copied into the first text box that lay down underneath “Decode from Base64 format” text
5. Click Decode
6. The decoded content would be generated down on the next text box
7. Using FTP client open wp-config.php for edit and clear all the content inside
8. Copy and Paste the decoded config file you get from https://www.base64decode.org/ in place of the old text
9. Save the file
10. Try to access WordPress Dashboard

After making just one change (that is, enabled the wp cache) I switched to other page and I got logged out immediately.
Now WP ADMIN page was redirecting to 127.0.0.1
After hours of searching I deleted the plugin folder via FTP.
Now here in some support threads you mentioned about backup file.
I have that backup file but it looks encrypted.
Please help how to recover now ?
]]>Hi,
I’m trying to increase my memory by using the WP Config File Editor.
When changing the values, I can see in the “raw editing” tab that the value changed but am unable to save the change.
I have deactivated all plug-ins before changing the memory.
In addition, I am still in test mode and have not yet gone “live”
Would appreciate your comments on this how to fix it.
Thanks!

When attempting to save the config, after pressing the Upload button, the page will not re-enable the html Done Button. Looking into it further using chrome dev tools, the request:

Any ideas? Probably by the time you’ll get to me I’ll have the access info to edit it from FTP or CPanel, but others may like to know why this is the case.

Any suggestions (besides getting the wp-config.php file from working test setup)?
