I found this plugin really easy to use. It’s been doing a great job improving the speed on my site, but what’s impressed me the most about the performance has been the consistency when performing speed tests. I’ve tested it a number of different times over the last few months and it has been far more consistent than other plugins I’ve tried.
The interface and options are easy to setup, you can start with their simple setup options and then make more advanced changes as needed to get the best performance. Definitely worth upgrading to take advantage of all their features.

For the longest time I always struggle with the optimizers, rockets, delayed and keep having to work with issues every time there was an update, a new plug-in, or new content on the site.
With WP Compress I technically just install, put aggresive mode, and voila! It just works. My sites from 11 seconds went down to 2.2s, I kept optimizing and now it’s only 90ms

I am very grateful I came across this plugin. I tried dozens of speed optimization plugins for WordPress and spent lots of time/money yet never achieved the performance desired. This was until I found WP Compress and gave it a try.
It has a great?plug-in, team, support, and prices.

I was impressed by how much instant optimization I was able to do on my WP site with WP Compress – and it was easy. The real time/live optimization is an added bonus on top of that, but IMO, it was worth it just for the initial optimization process.
And the company is very responsive and goes above and beyond not only in continuously upgrading the product, but also with support. I wish all companies were like this.

I had been having an issue for a long time with the FAQ accordion. For some reason, the accordion wouldn’t toggle on click. I tried everything, but I was unable to fix it. When James heard about this issue from a survey I participated in, he emailed me to offer their support so they could resolve the issue.
I was unable to manage time, but when I contacted them, James personally handled it and provided a patch/bug-free plugin copy to resolve the issue. After updating the plugin, the issue has been resolved, and now the FAQ accordion is working fine, and the webpage loading speed seems better and faster. Thanks for the awesome service.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this plugin really stands out from the rest. I’ve tried Litespeed, WP Rocket, Autoptimize, Hummingbird, and Airlift. Even after paying for a CDN, none of them came close to the performance of this plugin. It has resulted in a Google Speed Mobile score of above 70.
However, you need a bit of coding knowledge to properly exclude elements for both the plugin and theme order. Once you get it set up correctly, it’s truly amazing. I hope the developers put more effort into making the plugin even more stable.
After signing up, you might receive a lot of marketing emails with promotions, but you can just ignore them. The support provided is also excellent.

It is a plugin with countless functionalities and configurations, all the features it has are practical and make work easier.
It has options such as Page Caching, CDN, WebP Generation, Downloadable PDF Reports and a lot of image optimization improvements. I recommend visiting their website and finding out about all the features it has since I would need to write a lot of text to specify them all here.

I’m not sure if Bricks Theme is the issue here?
I wasn’t getting webp swaps on lots of images regardless of the
Remove Srcset

setting. I also had issues with lazy loading – I couldn’t seem to exclude anything by using classes or by adding ‘eager’ loading to some images. The worst thing was that restore didn’t work. : ( I tried 3 times, it hung for up to 20 mins or more. In the end I managed to restore images individually. Well, I’m actually trying to complete this now but the first few have worked. Tapping this out in the meantime. Fingers crossed! I would love this plugin to work as the ideas are great. Like I mentioned, maybe it doesn’t work with Bricks but I disabled any settings that could clash.

Wenn einzelne Dinge nicht funktionieren liegt das nicht speziell an WP Compress sondern generell an Caching Plugins,
In diesen Fall schalten Sie als erstes “Combining Javascript” wenn eingeschalten ist ab und Prüfen noch einmal das Ergebnis.
Hat das nicht den gewünschten Erfolg, schalten Sie eins nach dem anderen Ab und testen jedes mal bis es funktioniert. So bekommen Sie heraus welche Einstellung den Fehler verursacht und k?nnen alle anderen Einstellungen eingeschaltet lassen.
Sie haben auch die M?glichkeit wenn es sich zum Beispiel um ein Plugin handelt das nicht funktioniert dieses per Url aus der Optimierung ausschlie?en um so sicherstellen das es auf jeden fall funktioniert.
Brauchen Sie Hilfe wenden Sie sich an den sehr Hilfsbereiten und netten Kunden Service.

in very many cases WP Compress works right away and very well. It deserves no less than 5 stars in my opinion. Giving one star because some things don’t work right away is a NO GO.
If some things don’t work, it’s not because of WP Compress but because of caching plugins in general,
In this case, first disable “Combining Javascript” if it is enabled and check the result again.
If this does not work, turn off one after the other and test each time until it works. This way you will find out which setting is causing the error and you can leave all other settings turned on.
You also have the possibility if it is for example a plugin that does not work to exclude this by url from the optimization to ensure that it works in any case.

I first had some issues since I have a “complicated” setup – But was solved with great support and updates. This is very reassuring to know that they will work hard to fix things if needed.
Other than that.. The plugin are really good and for me the key is that it handles automatic optimization and webp even if I offload the pictures automatic on upload to S3 server (and removed from server). I didnt like that the S3 servers add the aws names etc, so through another plugin, the path of S3 are changed to reflect my domains/brand. Still WP Compress manage to deliver pictures with webp thanks to their “Optimize External URLs” setting.
When testing I also noticed that delivery speed on pictures and scripts through their CDN are on par with cloudflare speed here in Norway.
Also love the fact that you can make custom plans for your clients, so that they will have their “personal” quota.
Can recommend this plugin and this ended up to be the plugin Im going to use after testing 4-5 optimization plugins.

In the initial stages, I must say WP Compress was nothing short of fantastic. I got my hands on it during its Lifetime Deal (LTD) days. At that time, it primarily served as an image optimization plugin with a few additional optimization features. It wasn’t the all-in-one WordPress optimization plugin it aspires to be now. And that was absolutely fine – the plugin performed its intended functions admirably well.
However, things took a drastic turn for the worse with the arrival of the 6.x.x versions. Since then, WP Compress has been, to put it bluntly, a real headache. I’ve lost count of the hours I’ve poured into resolving issues, many of which should never have occurred in the first place.
Even the core functionalities like CDN rewrites, and backup restore are frequently dysfunctional. The restore feature has even corrupted images on numerous occasions, leaving us to pick up the pieces manually.
The developers seem intent on transforming this once humble, efficient plugin into the ultimate optimization tool. Unfortunately, the reality is quite different – all it does is consume time and effort without delivering on its promises.
A couple of months back, I reported a mountain of issues to the developers. Their responses have been frustratingly dismissive, often resorting to the clichés of “we can’t reproduce the issue” or “it works great, just clear your cache.” If this plugin were indeed so brilliant, it would surely have garnered more than a meager 7000 downloads.
As a desperate last resort, I recently rolled back all my sites to version 5.11.11, where, to my relief, most of the features are operating as they should. The irony is not lost on me that while WP Compress has gone downhill with time, its competitors have been making strides forward.
For the time being, it seems rolling back to an older version is the only viable solution, and that’s just not a sustainable way to run a website in the long term. Here’s hoping WP Compress can turn things around before it’s too late.
