Just took over maintaining a site which ran this. Found it to be injecting spammy JavaScript links into the pages.
Either it’s dodgy or has a big hole which allows someone else to hijack it. Either way…avoid!
]]>I notice there are lots of unanswered questions in this support forum. When was the plugin owner last visible here? Maybe this should now be flagged as an unsupported plugin. Also if the download file has been taken over by spammers (as a couple of posters suggest), maybe it should be pulled from the site altogether?

What gives?

Hi there,
I performed a backup of my clients entire site (database and files) using the WP Complete Backup app and I am currently trying to restore this using the same app, however, I get an error saying that the restoration failed due the backup is not a valid backup file.
Can I send this to WP support to be checked as I do not know what is wrong with it? I believe WP complete backup wants a zip file, however, the backup was saved with the file extension zip.yLccj5 and renaming it to .zip does nothing even if I try and open it in WinRAR (says it is corrupt).
If the backup is corrupt or incomplete I made a copy of all the WP files so can I just copy these onto the new server instead?
WP newbie, sorry
Tom ??
]]>I have a problem with a plugin (Arlima) at https://roundhousetalk.com and it works fine on the previous version. So working with the developer, I restored my previous backup with the previous version and everything went smooth. then because the plugin identified the update 3.6.22 version, and at the advise of the development, I updated the plugin and I’m back to where I was unable to access it. With my backup prior to updating the plugin, am I able to restore just the previous version of the Arlima plugin? If I do a complete restore, I lose all of my Arlima Article List Page which creates posts from “Press This” which the plugin can be used to create the newspaper style I want. It takes about 1-2 hours to recreate the Article List Page if I restore a full backup. I can’t just download the previous version or at least copy the template list with the articles I created? Thanks
]]>I have written several times to the author of this plugin – along with several other users, but the autor “codetree” does not respond at all.
The problem:
When you install the plugin it works for a while, and then it stops working. The author does not reply on his/her site – and it is more than one year ago any updates were made. Why does the author waste WP users time – this plugin should be removed from the repository and be declared dead; which in fact it is.
]]>I clicked the button one time to make a backup – this always happens.,..
it makes two and then it gives the timeout error.
Please tell me how to fix this fast, thank you.
Example:
[1.32GB] 12/05/2012 – 20:44 (database and files) [Delete This Backup]
[1.75GB] 12/05/2012 – 20:44 (database and files) [Delete This Backup]
and the is after going back to the page after it fails from a timeout

]]>when I run a backup I get a 500 error. The backup is saved in the storage folder, but afterwards, I’m getting the error message, The website is hosted by godaddy.com. I am wondering if it is corrupt. It seems like a lot of trouble to set up a new sub-domain install just to test the backup. If this is typical and there is nothing to worry, please let me know. ]]>I ran a backup last October and have the zip file. I can open it and see contents correctly. I am now trying to restore via upload but the restore does not complete. It seems to run continuously. I let it run over the course of an evening (12 hrs) and it did not seem to take. Any advice?
Thanks!
]]>Very misleading! Specify in the description that you have to register in order to use this plugin. I know it’s free, but I don’t want to do it, I don’t want to provide my info to you. I understand it’s free and it’s your right to require it, just mention it before you post it and waste my time downloading and installing.

1. I have tried via curl:

in the both cases I received:

]]>Hi! Firstly, thanks for developing such a great plug-in. I installed the plug-in to my site and have 3 backups sitting in the storage folder on my server but am unable to see it/access it from the backend plug-ins admin page. It just disappeared the next time I visited the back-end. I cant re-install it as I get an error message saying it already exists.
I have the following plug-ins installed
Akismet
All-in-One Event Calendar
All in One SEO Pack
Fancybox
Google Analytics
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Shareaholic
WP-Table Reloaded
WPtouch
When I run the backup, it creates my zip file but there is no copy of the database dump in the zip that I can find.
Then I read that the sql file should be located in the /wp-content/plugins/wp-complete-backup/storage/[timestamp]/ folder… I see the zip there but no database dump.
Does it sound like there is something wrong with my configuration or is there a new bug with the updated version of WordPress?
]]>On an attempt to backup, we are receiving this warning:
Warning: opendir(/******/.trellix) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: Permission denied in /********/wp-content/plugins/wp-complete-backup/wp-complete-backup.php on line 119
I’ve tried setting the storage folder to permission 777 – that didn’t change the result.
It appears to save the backup file, but still displays the warning.
We are using version WP Complete Backup Version 3.0.5
]]>Left message on the forums. No response yet. I’ll update when it is fixed.
The problem is that the backup zip file it creates is corrupt so restorations don’t work on the server. If the file is downloaded and opened in Winzip it does repair correctly and the data is fine to manually restore, but restoration through the plugin doesn’t work even with the repaired file.
