Custom taxonomies created with Custom Post Type UI plugin do not show up in the Block editor. Only “Categories” shows on the dropdown in the editor, so you can’t select custom taxonomies.

when any user link any category page take few sec to load and then new page loaded. the problem was defaults text should be selected category item

Is it possible to create more than 2 depth?

Like Parent – Child – Child – Child

Maybe such as :

Automation

— Electric Automation (child of Automation)

— Electric Specialized Automation (child of Electric Automation)

I am trying to use the plugin with Custom Categories i.e. portolio_category (Avada Theme), Categories show just fine in the Dropdown, but when selecting one, it won’t use the custom slug for the portfolio_category in the URL but the default one, hence not showing the correct results page.

My custom slug for “portfolio_category” is “tema” therefore for example when selecting the Category: “Piedras” it should direct to the URL: https://ns.inteldevign.com/tema/piedras however it redirects to: https://ns.inteldevign.com/portfolio_category/piedras resulting in a 404 error.

I’ve inherited the maintenance of a site and evidently in the updates of various plugins this plugin has quit working. The site is on wordpress 5.8.1 but is running Jupiter 6.2.0 and I can’t updated the Jupiter theme at this time. I’ve rollbacked the version of this plugin to 1.4 from 1.6 which was not working at all. Now even though I have the shortcode in place of [wpcd_child_categories_dropdown child_of=”48″ default_option_text=”Select a Category”] where 48 is the Parent Category of Research I am seeing all 4 parent categories and you have to select a Parent to get the children to show up. I don’t want that step in there. I just want one droplist of the children of one parent.

I tried to see if I could add this as a gutenberg block but it isn’t showing up in the widgets anywhere.

We are facing a issue with your plugin. We are using SG Optimizer to minify js files. All files are minified but /wp-content/plugins/wp-category-dropdown/js/scripts.js

When I enqueue the file using the hook wp_enqueue_scripts it works, no otherwise.

Is there a way to update your code and to insert this file using the proper hook not by using add_shortcode? Thank you

First, thank you for this good plugin.
My question is, last week, I could display all categories (37 items) and child in my homepage, but now when I load this page, there are only two items showing. What coould be the reason please ? I ‘m using sinatra theme. I’m using wordpress version 5.7

I want to pick a category to show sub-categories but there’s no option to choose a parent. Does this plugin just pick it’s own categories?

Hi this plugin is superb, but I have a small issue.
I have added 4 types of Category Dropdown widgets on homepage excluding and filtering different categories.

But only one widget (first crated one) showed the filter result. Other 3 widget only shows dropdowns but when it clicks, nothing happen on homepage. First crated widget work prefect.

Hi! I’m crazy looking for something like this plugin does but instead of categories that are pages.

And I do not know if it will be possible to make, for example, select until which page you want to load.

For example:
Page Make / year / model / characteristics.

What I want is a dropdown over the years, and the second with the model, and once you choose the model I will send you to the page in question where you will see a personalized page with more pages that are children of characteristics.

Is it possible to remove the auto search after selecting the child? Like searching only after pressing the button, and also allowing to search parent only, when clicking on the button after selecting only parent.

With this plugin in WordPress 5.1.1 I received logged errors:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function int()
– on line 78 of the main plugin file.

C\As you might expect, changing this to intval() makes it work.

Thanks for creating this plugin – doing ajax categories in the functions.php or a template file is very messy.
