Q 1:
I want to show more info in every slide in the carousel.
I would like to show thumbnail, title, custom field (in this case “company name”)
Q 2:
The carousel is in the template file for every CustomPostType and when one is viewing a post, then that post should disapear from the carousel.
Is this possible? And how would I do this?

I don’t know if this would represent a lot of work for you. What I am looking for is the ability to display pages on the carusel from a specified category.
Let’s say I develop a website about dogs. Let’s say we have different dog categories: caniches, german shepperd… I would like to add a carusel on one page that only displays pages from a specified dog pedigree: caniches, etc…

I would like a carrousel that can get the images from a field I have on a Custom Post Type I have created (speakers) and that the carrousel image will link to the single post view from that custom post type.
Have read somewhere this is possible with WP Carousel – is that true ?

]]>I’m not getting any Javascript errors but the carousel just won’t animate. Instead all of the images just show up static. I read in another post that you needed wp_head() and wp_footer() but I’m using get_header() and get_footer() and the other functions break my site. Is there any other reason why this won’t work?

]]>I was using WP Carousel to create a carousel browser for posts, using the featured image and the title of the post. In the theme.php file for the carousel, I was using the following code:

</div>to display the title of the relevant post. After updating to WP 3.4 and then updating WP Carousel to the latest version (1.1), it no longer seems to work. Instead, I am getting the shortcode which appears in the body of the post displayed. The code outputs like this:
<div class="panel-text"> [SlideDeck id='98050' width='670px' height='100%'] </div>
Which is the shortcode in the text area / body of the post.
Even more interesting, when I comment out the php code in theme above, the shortcode still appears, so the plugin appears to be falling back on some default.
I am using the skinless theme.
I have looked everywhere in the config panels and cannot find any configuration which is set wrong.
Please let me know what is going on, I would appreciate it.

]]>I moved a wp version 3.0.1 site that uses wp_carousel version 0.53 to a new server. I have updated the siteurl and home values to the new domain name, as well as done a find and replace on the post_content field of the wp_posts table and everything seems to work except the carousel. It shows broken image links and the links still refer to the old server. What do I need to update to get the carousel working?

I have been trying to get the carousel items to display the page title on the right of the image and then have the excerpt below that.
I see in the admin area for the carousel, the carousel there (the one showing the various carousel themes) seems to do it but I only have options to show the title or the excerpt and to put the text on the left, right or below the image.

When I changed the site location in Settings > General to be at the top level (https://example.com/ instead of https://example.com/wordpress, WP Carousel is broken – it loads all the images in with a vertical scrollbar and no longer scrolls.
Is there some setting in WP Carousel I have to adjust after doing this? I’ve done this with other sites many times and followed all the directions exactly and then updated Permalinks. Everything else was working fine.

I really like this plugin, looks great on my website.
I use the Clear slider theme 1.0.1, on Bombax WordPress theme, and i experienced the follows:
When browsing my site with mobile phones (i tested on android, but web testers said, the problem is the same on iphone), the carousel plugin while autoscrolling, scrolls the embedded videos inserted into posts too, not just the thumbnails of the posts, and place them to random positions.
I didn’t need this, and it looks bad. I have uploaded a picture to show that to you.
Maybe i should disable the desktop-view on mobile phones and enable just the mobile-view, but i want to keep the possibility for mobile browsing users to see my site at its best.
What can i do to dissolve this bug? Please help me! Thanks!
]]>I have the skinless carousel set up and it seems to be working well. The one thing I need to change is the length of the excerpt. Currently the text sometimes runs past the end of the div.
I see that the content is pulling from the theme-jcarousel.php file…

I tried to change this to the_excerpt in order to limit the number of words that show up (and add a ‘read more’ link), however that won’t show the image in the teaser, which I want to have.
Any advice for getting the content to fit in the box, and allow images?

I use slider with Nivo slider default theme, works great except at the load of the page, all slides are exposed for a second-two, they all show themseves to the right or bellow.
I use Customized content, and have images which are pointing to the urls.)
Does the plugin cut the image into pieces every time it loads page ? Can it be cached, pre-baked if so ?
