It’s a good plugin, works with little setup needed. Chose arithmetical captcha and only drawback is some of the maths is too hard for me to work out (to be honest, more a problem with my mental arithmetic rather than a problem with the plugin!)
You can choose several options even in the free version and this has worked well to protect my site.
Very happy overall.

It slows my backend work very much. Practically I couldn’t work on posts, on updated posts, or update plugin. I had to do much, much work to discover which plugin creates annoying loading, loading pages till it’s giving 524. Interesting that the front of the site works well.

The Captcha Booster is doing what it is ought to do.
But currently we have extremely low traffic because nobody is interested in tourism at this COVID-19 times.
Even spammers seem to have other problems for instance.

nunca me han gustado los captcha de Google por 2 motivos, el primero es porque son vampiros y traficantes de informacion personal, el segundo es que eso de imagenes no es 100% preciso y algunas veces se atasca, sera que escatiman en gastos de seguridad, por eso me gustan estos captcha matematicos, porque obligan a pensar al usuario (algo util y necesario), ademas es sencillo su funcionamiento, aunque ponga 4 estrellas, me gustaria dar 4,5 para ser mas exacto,lo unico a mejorar para mi es a?adir en varios idiomas, es lo unico a mejorar.

The Captcha looks nice and basically worked, so I bought a lifetime license for the Pro Edition. On two of my websites I couldn’t validate the license, and on all the others it produces a
“The REST-API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out”
error considered as critical by the health check tool.
First I contacted them about the licensing issue, didn’t get any reaction apart from them asking for an access to the two websites, then I tried to revoke my subscription within the 14 days provided and haven’t heard from the support since.
Can’t recommend this plugin, it obviously creates a lot of unnecessary and apparently faulty calls.

Recently my site went very slow. Installed Query Monitor plugin which shows that the biggest culprit is Captcha Booster generating a lot of issues on website loading.
