There is absolutely no problem at the frontend. WP Biographia is a great plugin, which we have been using for 10 years.

I setup the biographia plugin on the back-end of the website. I’m able to have the user biography appear on the tab in my account by using the following code – [wp_biographia user=”*” order=”last-name”]
I also put the biography prefix title as “Design Time Blocks” (which is what I want to display)
I removed ALL display settings (so it should just appear with the above shortcode). However I have the Prefix title appearing 89 times with the actual bio only appearing once. What can I do so that it appears only once as intended?

]]>It’s been a while and I can only apologise. Sometimes the day job gets in the way and this has very much been the case.
But a new version of WP Biographia is now under active development. It’s not quite ready for release but you’ll find a beta version of v4.0.0 here: https://github.com/vicchi/wp-biographia/tree/v4.
The standard caveats apply. This is a beta, it’s not finished and may break things in strange and unusual ways. If you come across any bugs, please create an issue on GitHub here: https://github.com/vicchi/wp-biographia/issues.

When I use this plugin I cannot get the LinkedIn link to work. I type the correct URL into my user profile but then when the plugin drops the author box in and I click on the LilnkedIn link it does something strange. It sends me to: https://www.gothamtrails.com/2015/06/22/test-5/www.linkedin.com/in/jameswrevak. In other words, it is inserting stuff that doesn’t belong there: https://www.gothamtrails.com/2015/06/22/test-5/. Then, of course, I get: Error 404 Not Found.
It can’t be a conflict with another plug in. I’ve deactivated all other plug ins.

]]>Just downloaded the plugin so it is the current version. WP is updated too. (I read your “please read before”). I have tried deactivating every plugin and then one by one (any which seemed relevant) but I’m not getting anywhere.
My Twitter link is being rejected by this plugin. I can’t type in the full URL because my WP user profile only wants the account name, not the link. (Without the @). I’m running JetPack, the Twitter plugin (from Twitter), and GP Premium addons from GeneratePress, my theme.
My site is https://asciiartist.com. Not that you can see anything from there. I mainly wanted a plugin to give me an author profile in the sidebar widget with the option to add my About link under a short blurb. I will see what else I can find but I wanted to let you know about the Twitter link.
]]>Beautiful plugin, and the only one I’ve found that lets you exclude categories. As a news org, it’s very important for us to be able to do this because we don’t want author boxes in certain categories like Obituaries and announcements and such.
I have it set up on a test site and it is displaying fine, but whenever I try to change the categories I get a 403 error. This doesn’t happen when I try to save any other changes in the settings. I did some reading, and people suggested making the permissions on the php file 644, but that didn’t help. Here’s the error message I’m getting:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /xyz/wp-admin/options-general.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Any ideas?

I am using WordPress Biographia with Bouquet theme. What I’m looking for is very probably an easy fix, I just don’t know how to do it.

The image on my biography is currently clickable and leads to my Gravatar profile. A hovercard appears when you put your mouse on it. I don’t want the hovercard. I think it’s ugly. I know you can turn off hovercards but it only works for a specific computer and I don’t want anyone to be able to see the hovercard.
Is there a way to do this?

Initially, I thought there were insufficient write-up. Later, I realize that it was not due to the length of author’s bio.
The other plugin’s author bio has no issue. Even if I deactivated that plugin, the same problem occurred. Hence, I knew it was not due to that plugin.

We have a website that uses Wp Biographia for a quite long time descendly. However, we realized that when we add the shortcode to the end of the post, it causes post to be displayed for many times, rather than once on the welcome page.
All of our posts contain the same shortcode, but only one of them showed this problem. Deleting the post and recreating it didn’t work. The webpage has quite traffic so I cannot let it be open with this problem. I have the screenshot, though, and would be happy to share it.

]]>I have a theme that allows custom profile feeds. An example is Football Team, with the variable name set as football_team.
The problem I have is that when I show the profile on my posts either in an author box or widget, it only displays the name and description.
Is there a simple way of adding the custom profile fields to the output in the author box?

We are using the Co-Authors Plus plugin and trying to display multiple WP Bio boxes on articles with multiple authors.

Our issue is that wpb_the_biography_box() doesn’t output anything for us, even in a very simple form:
wpb_the_biography_box( 'configured', '16' );
This code is on single.php. We use get_coauthors and can successfully display an array of the authors, but can’t show their bio boxes.
We are on WP 3.9.1 and Genesis 2.0.2, using a modified Genesis Sample Child Theme. WP Biographia 3.3.2 and Co-Authors Plus 3.1.1. Bio boxes are working fine in all other respects. Any advise is appreciated, thanks.
