Hi,

WP Back button takes to front page and does not return the users previous point. Also font is totally different, maybe Times new roman. Version of button is Versio 1.1.3 and i have WordPress 4.9.7 and theme is Sydney.

Can you please help with this issue?

Thanks for the handy plugin!

I have it on my website but the button stores just the last visited page’s URL and not the hierarchy of pages visited.

For example:
I visited A, B, C – Now when I click BACK while on page C, it takes me to B (which is great) but then further clicking should take me to A but it takes me back to C forming a loop between B and C.

How to make it work the way I want?

Lines 121 & 123 of the wp-back-button.php file register the styles to enqueue the google fonts. Because they are coded as https:// if the site is setup on https:// the browser may not load the scripts or label the reference to the CSS as unsafe.

Ideally this would load over http and https without any issues and based on how the site was requested.

If changed to:
wp_register_style( ‘googleFonts1’, ‘//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cabin:400,500,600,bold’);
wp_register_style( ‘googleFonts2’, ‘//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=PT+Sans+Narrow:regular,bold’);

This way the protocol will be inherited from how the site was loaded instead of always being http.

Not sure what I’m missing, but the back button doesn’t show up on any pages, though I have it set for all, at least for testing. Is there any documentation? Is “Settings/WP Back Button” the only way to affect it?

Your plugin is great. However, I found a bug.
After checking “Show on All Pages”, the button still cannot show on the homepage. I would appreciate if you could help fix it. Thanks a lot for your help.

So that the “< BACK” would just appear to be floating? Perhaps by using some CSS? Also, is there a way to change the size of the “BACK” text?

One thing regarding the plugin though: is it possible to get back to the exact location like before? Just like click the back button or swipe your touchpad on laptop. Is there any code that I’ve to implement to apply this setting?

Aquí te dejo algunas opciones que creo que podrían ser intersantes para el futuro:

Opciones de personalización desde el panel de configuración:

1. Elegir que el titulo del botón pueda ser con letras minusculas, mayusculas o con la primera letra en mayúsculas, o un icono de font awesome, sin tener que cambiarlo internamente en la hoja de estilos y/o ficheros del plugin.
2. Elegir la posición del botón a donde uno quiera, sin tener que editar la hoja de estilos del plugin.
3. Cambiar el color de la flecha < sin tener que editar la hoja de estilos.
4. Cambiar el símbolo de < utilizable o caracter alternativo.
5. Posibilidad de a?adir un botón gráfico en vez de ser un boton de texto.

Mejoras de integración:

1. Posibilidad de integración dentro en la barra del menú.
2. Posibilidad de integración dentro de la plantilla como enlace de texto o botón de imagen (shortcode en paginas selectivasmente? widget en sidebar? a?adir dentro de una tema personalizado?)

Si se me ocurre alguna mas, ya la pondré.

La actualización a 1.0.6 de WP Back Button, parece que no se aplica bien.

Lo he probado de las siguientes formas:

– Desde la pantalla principal, el botón de actualizar, y alli. En este caso el plugin estaba activo.
– Otra vez desactivando antes el plugin.
– Borrando completamente mi versión. A?adiendo nuevo plugin, buscando el WP Back Button, e instalandolo como si fuera nuevo.
– Desde el aviso que sale en la zona de Plugin para “actualizar”. Dice que se actualiza, y en la siguiente visita, aun sigue la actualización para aplicar.

En todos los posibles, parece que no detecta que tiene la versión 1.0.6, y siempre se queda como “hay una nueva versión”.

?Qué puedo hacer? Gracias.

Your plugin is really amazing, but there’s one issue, that I faced while using it. For example, I want to hide this button from my main page (it’s https://www.annabrodkina.com). So, as you can see (after pushing this link), this button is not wanted to be here… Is it possible to write somewhere the rules of where to display or not to display this back button?
