After the upgrade to 4.6 I’ve noticed that when adding a url for a featured image it isn’t saved, only the image itself seems to be added to the media library. Have to now manually add it and save again to have it work. Can this be looked into?

I love this plugin, however I would like to perform one more action.

Would it be possible to automatically set the first remotely hosted image in the post’s body to the featured image?

Usage scanario:
IFTTT rule creates new post on WP blog when new Instagram image is posted for specific hashtag. WP Autoset Featured Image Plus then “fetches” the URL of the image in the new WP post and sets that URL as the featured image.

Reason:
I want to keep all images hosted on their respective platform to conserve disk space on my server.

Hi! Thank you for developing this plugin. It works perfectly when I open and save a post (automatically finds featured image and sets it). However, I have a ton of posts and it’s not finding it automatically. Is there anyway to have the script “run” on all old posts?

I updated your plugin and now i get multiple thumbnails of the same image
If i upload an image call cars.jpg i will then get 3-5 thumb_post_434027.jpg or something like that.

I use your plugin and love it I have it on two sites. Unfortunately I updated it on both. As soon as i turn the plugin off it stops making the multiple thumb posts and only does the one image upload.

Please fix this ??

Hi,

Sometimes the images show, but most of the time they don’t.
The image url is set in the featured image correctly, but it just doesn’t display. I’m using RSS Poster Pro to auto post from RSS feeds. And the images are are set propertly in the posts, and the wp auto featured image sets it properly. It just doesn’t show.

Each time I use this, it uploads three images to the media gallery. This doesn’t include the resized images.
Is it possible to upload just one when linking a external image?
