Hello,
I want to import on my new www.remarpro.com an XML file from my wordpress.com old website (XML created with the build-in wordpress Import/export of wordpress.com)
I doesn’t worked well with the wordpress importer plugin (fail to import media, posts contains pictures but still linked to the old website) that’s why I tried your plugin WP advanced importer but I get an error too :
Invalid XML
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed.
which is really strange as it is a “official” wordpress.com export
Thanks
]]>Hey
What about helping out a bit with the official WordPress importer:
https://github.com/humanmade/WordPress-importer
I am not much of a developer myself (I create tutorials and do design stuff), and it would be great to improve the above importer in addition to on your own.
]]>Hi,
I’m trying to import classifieds from XML to WP Adverts by using custom posts import in WP Advanced Importer and I have a problem – on the list of custom fields I have second “post_title” and “post_content” – this should be advert tittle and body, but when I’m importing data from XML – everything works (every custom field, ie. price, phone number, e-mail etc.) but not post_title and post_content. When I tried import that data as normal post – everything works fine.
If anyone have any ideas what can I do with that – please help ??
]]>Hi there,
I am looking for the a plugin that can datafeed the following node.
<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”utf-8″?>
Do you know of any plugin that can help me and other that use premiumpress themes
]]>On first activation I got “The plugin does not have a valid header.” But then tried again and it worked. Not sure what’s up, but thought I should report it.
]]>New fresh WP 4.2.3 installation.
List of plugins: Akismet, Tiny MCE Advanced, Types (all last versions).
Install the plugin, try to import a regular .xml export with standard posts and pages.
The First message from the Import screen (Logs):
Warning: Illegal offset type in C:\wamp\www\genesis\wp-content\plugins\wp-advanced-importer\includes\WPAdvImporter_includes_helper.php on line 643
This is the first thing I get from the very plugin screen.
The second message from the “Logs” is:
“The user – “xxxxxxx” – has been created.”
Since the plugin gave me the option in the first place, I specifically told the plugin to assign every imported post/page to an existing user. Why is this happening then?
Then it starts importing, but with every file there’s a message saying:
“Atomic Race – Doubledeck 3.0 Ramp Tech – SkiReviewer is already exist”
The item that “is already exist” (brilliant expression) is an image that of course doesn’t “already exist” because this is a new empty WordPress installation.
This happens with every single post and page.
Next, time for several “is already exist” messages with no other information rather than this enigmatic weird expression. No clue on what those messages are talking about.
And then, the Grand Finale: WP Advanced Importer Plugin says “Import Complete”. But it hasn’t imported ANYTHING. Not a single byte.
Now, I think you have enough 1-star reviews, so I’ll wait.
I know this is a free plugin etc, but this can’t continue. You’re supposed to be a Company with serious Premium/Commercial products. How can users trust you?
Next button won’t go
]]>I’m hosting on WPEngine, and trying to use import a file I exported from another site (from the same multisite). I’ve tried with big and small XML files, and nothing can get the blue NEXT >> button to go to something clickable. Even when I enable the debug mode, I get nothing. No Logs, nothing. I can browse a file, the bar fills up with green, and then nothing. Clear still works, but next never does.
The only thing I can see as a warning is on the the Required Loaders and Extentions: under Mod Security
Warning: apache_get_modules() has been disabled for security reasons in /nas/wp/www/staging/gfctv/wp-content/plugins/wp-advanced-importer/lib/skinnymvc/controller/base/SkinnyBaseController.php(293) : eval()’d code on line 29
Perhaps it won’t work on WPEngine or something? But I can’t get this work at all
]]>Hi,
I get this error on the Security & Performance page.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function apache_get_modules() in /wp-content/plugins/wp-advanced-importer/lib/skinnymvc/controller/base/SkinnyBaseController.php(293) : eval()’d code on line 29
Starting an import doesn’t seem to do much. I just says processing for a very long time.
Hope you can help me out.
Thanks
]]>I wanted to know if this plugin supports Export/Import of Featured Image when doing a Partial Export – ex. Only Posts between certain dates?
Thanks so much!

]]>Thanks for plugin, I have 2 problem with it;
1. It remove – chracter from image names.
2. It doesnt import alt, description info for images.
First of all thanks for the plugin.
I’m not using default WordPress install, meaning my install does not have a wp-content folder and my WordPress Core is in a separate directory.
The error is occurring in /plugins/wp-advanced-importer/lib/jquery-plugins\UploadHandler.php on line 14
please refer to the given links which suggest the right way to fix such an issue

]]>Hello,
I have tried plugin on different servers but having same issue. It’s just importing one post at a time and took a lot of time to import xml file with 1000 posts.
Can you please help if there is anything i can do to make it import 20/30 posts per server request.
Thanks for this plugin, it’s still better than wordpress importer and wp all import. I would give it a 5 star review if you please help me solve this problem.

Is it normal?

Any ideas?
Thank you
Plugin opens to a blank screen in the admin/users area.
Thanks,

Using your plugin to move posts from one site to another and bring their images, one of the large broken pieces of the current WordPress implementation.
Exported posts.
Began import funnel, it seems normal until you go to Import. It starts up, shows that the users already exist, and then.. nothing. The Processing wheel spins–for the last hour it spins, no additional log information or anything. I look in other tabs a the Posts and Media library and nothing has been imported.
Not sure what to do.

]]>This doesn’t work for me at all.
I did notice this and assume that there are more issues like this.
wp_importer_advanced.php, line 80
window.location.href = "<?php echo WP_PLUGIN_URL;?>/../../wp-admin/admin.php?page=upload_xml_file&action=post";
should be:
window.location.href = "<?php echo get_admin_url(); ?>admin.php?page=upload_xml_file&action=post";
You can’t rely on the plugins or uploads folder being in their default location. Mine never are.

]]>This did a great job of importing all my posts and images from wordpress.com where the stock importer failed, but how do I map comments so they’re properly imported? They’re not appearing anywhere with the default settings, and I don’t see a comments field that I can map it to.
