A week ago I activated worona and a wp-json plugin, this seem to have caused an issue which may have broken ad-minister. I have this error in my list of ads:
Notice: Undefined index: id in /home/stlucia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ad-minister/ad-minister-create.php on line 209
0 of
Notice: Undefined index: impressions in /home/stlucia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ad-minister/ad-minister-create.php on line 164
0 of
Notice: Undefined index: clicks in /home/stlucia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ad-minister/ad-minister-create.php on line 174
It seems to be a “ghost” ad that I am unable to delete, the name and position of the ad is still in place however.
I think this may be the reason why whenever I create an ad it replaces the last ad I added… So basically a new ad is not being created, the previous one is simply being replaced.
Would love to get some assistance.
Hi,
We are using wordpress and receive this message trying to upload a plug in.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_tiny_mce() in /home/vg011web03/16/07/2920716/web/wp-content/plugins/wp-ad-manager/ad-minister.php on line 99
We are told that it is resulting from WP-ad- manager. Can you fix this for us?

Hi,
I want to place ads on pages and other parts of my site but not on widgets.
I guess the Template positions are supposed to be doing that, but they don’t seem to work. Is there a way to make them work, or can I sue some shortcodes or php code to place the widget positions to my code?
Thanks,
Yiannis
When you click on the create content button the entire page goes blank. If you open the source code on the blank page these are the final lines:

Cancel

Fatal error: Call to undefined function submit_button() in C:\inetpub\www.juliewatsonstyle.com\wwwroot\blog\wp-admin\includes\internal-linking.php on line 118
I upgraded to WP 3.2.1 and the Wp-Ad-Manager Create Content tab stopped working. It shows a blank screen.
Looking in the source code I saw that the rendering stopped with this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function submit_button() in /home/glowbar/public_html/wp-admin/includes/internal-linking.php on line 118
I tried deactivating all other plugins and it didn’t help. Also re-uploaded all the WP 3.2.1 installation and no success.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
The plugin loaded well and transferred all of my data from Ad-minister. I had to resave the positions to get the widgets to appear… no a problem. However, when transfering the widgets to their positions, they went into a never ending save loop.
I was wondering if it has been considered to use javascript in order to track the clicks rather than the current redirect. I know if I hover over a link and it isn’t going directly to the site I want I wonder what that is all about and sometimes even type in the address instead.
What could be done is that if javascript is not enabled the current redirect system would occur. If javascript is enabled the link address is direct to the site but an onclick would register the click and then send the user to the site.
I was looking at the code tonight to see if this could be done but since the link code is processed through the editor rather than a textfield you don’t know exactly what sort of html you are dealing with.
If the creation form was changed so that you
Then the display code could generate the correct link based on whether javascript is enabled or not. Interested in your thoughts on this.
Also happy to help with this if this is considered worthwhile, or with anything else code related I can help with. I rely on this plugin so I’m happy to help make it the best it can be.
Cheers,
Nick
Just installed Ad Manager to Replace administr… I am now getting this error when I installed the plug-in via plug-in download in the wordpress backend:

Using WP Ad Manager 0.7.5.
I created content for an ad (a long bit of html to handle flash) but forgot to give my content a title.
When I clicked Save the Create Content page came back up again (as expected) but the content was empty.
If a title is required can this be handled before and after saving.
Using wp-ad-manager 0.7.5.
Looking at the WP-Ad-Manager I can see when a user clicks on an ad. It is correctly set to 1. The impressions counters do not change.
When the page is next loaded the clicks return to 0.
I had this issue with Ad-minister so I decided to move to wp-ad-manager.
Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can do to fix it while you are working on changing the code to use update_option()?
As there is no impressions/click data in my db, I am okay with deactivating the plugin and deleting the administer post and the postmeta data.
Hi
I’ve set WP-Ad-Manager user access to “editor”
(The minimum User Level required to access Ad-minister: editor)
But the editors can’t see the menu.
I’m running a WP3 multisites install. Could it be the problem?
I am using WP Ad Manager and think it’s great. Can’t seem to find basic documentation for things like having specific ads show up as the first ad on every page then rotating in other ads based specific numbering. It looks like the ID would be the thing to change, but I can’t seem to find a way to change the numbers on my ads. I’m guessing they are given an ID number by the order in which they are uploaded. As it is now the first ad I created (0) is coming up on cached pages, but I would like for the last one I created (3) to come up first. Is this possible and I am just missing it?

Hello,
Most of the plugin works OK but under the Content tab there is no content showing even though I had 3 ads created. I needed to delete 2 ads as they were examples and had to do this through the database. I am using the latest version of the plugin.
Hope you can help with this.
Thanks
Installing and activating WP-Ad-Manager breaks WordPress’ media uploader. When trying to upload/insert an image anywhere in the admin, instead of showing the uploader in the window overlay — it shows a window asking “Are you sure you want to do this?” If you click “yes”, it loads the entire WordPress admin page within the overlay window.
You can do this over and over again within the overlay window to infinity. The media uploader never loads. Deactivating and deleting WP-Ad-Manager fixed the issue for me. Any thoughts on why this is happening?
Hi,
when you attempt to remove one position, appear permisson error on WP file tools.php.
Now i fix the error. Modified file ad-minister-positions.php on row 138 (change form method and action link to:
<form action=”tools.php?page=<?php echo dirname(plugin_basename (__FILE__)); ?>&tab=positions” method=”POST”>),
and on 30 $ 31 (adjust method from get to post):
if ($_POST[‘action’] == ‘confirm_delete’) {
if ($key = $_POST[‘key’]) {
Do you wont correct file?
Seems the latest version of wp-ad-manager has worked out some kinks and now works great for me in wp 3.0.1. I love the ad-minister plugin, so thank y’all for keeping this plugin alive!
A good idea, but I have a long-standing ad setup with Ad-minister. When I replaced that plugin with the modified version — and made a single change in the contents of one ad block, it messed up our entire theme, putting all ads and text in the wrong place. Reverting to Ad-minister didn’t work; I had to restore from a previous database backup.
So I’m hopeful for this new version, but it has a ways to go. You need to be able to read the old data without messing up things once something is changed in an ad.

Gene
Just reposting the question on the right forum:
Hi Valentinas, does the plugin work on a network install?
I don’t know if it’s a problem with my installation or with the plugin on a network.
At the create content area, the media upload window opens like a target=”_top” link does. Thus, I can’t insert the banner uploaded on the content.
Also, Visual e HTML tabs don’t switch the editor.
I tried using wp-ad-manager on a WP 3.0.1 network (subdirectory sites) but the create content area doesn’t seem to work.
Anyone using it on a network install?
When I try and edit or add a position I get the following error:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
Any Ideas?
