I am trying to show the no-pic.jpg but it still show me nothing.
Changing the file source and invoking a “png” file also gives me the same behavior.
What can I do?
I am also using User Photo Plugin.
]]>The description for the plugin suggest the following shortcodes can be used:
■[academic-projects]: To view list of projects. You can use the ‘research_area’ attribute here to list all projects under that particular research area. e.g. [academic-research-areas research_area=’research area 1′]
However the attribute needs to be spelled ‘research-area’ with a dash rather than an underscore in order to work. (I suspect this is true for the ‘show_cat’ shortcode someone else was having troubles with as well.)
Took me hours to figure this out. Still think I will end up uninstalling this plugin as the hierarchy of research areas, projects and team members is a mess to navigate.
]]>Hi, we use the plugin and we think is really good. Thanks. I was wondering if is possible to implement the URL rewrite so instead that the query
?wp=NUM
we can have the name of the person or a tag word. Thanks
Fabiano
First of all thank you very much for your plugin, very useful for university society.
I have a little problem with user photo plugin (is does not work, because of our university web server security measures), so is it possible to change the code in functins to show not user photos, but user avatars, which are already assigned to their user profiles.
Thank you.
]]>Hello, Great Plugin. Thank you!
I noticed a small bug in the update publications section. Essentially a typo, and an extra parameter.
Your github repo is empty, so I patched kiebel’s fork of your svn repo. Here’s the pull request in case you wanted to integrate the change back in.

Sorry, disregard this. Figures as soon as I make the post, the problem stops being an issue
]]>Hi,
Just wanna ask if this plugin is still in active development? Any plans of updating it from v0.4.1 and make it compatible with WordPress 3.4.1?
Thank you
]]>Hi, I’m running a network install for my research group; we have separate blogs for some of the lab members, and a lab blog as well.
Should this plugin work in a network installation? FYI, I’m technical (CS person) but not a wordpress hacker. Any help appreciated!
]]>Hey guys, any chance you can put localization options on the plug-in? I’d be happy to make the spanish po file.
]]>Any one aware of hacks to add custom fields to the WP Academic List. I am developing a site for a client who wants to add a little more detail to the current profile, like Experience, Fees etc. If there are no hacks can this be considering in future development of the plugin. Thanks for the great plugin.
]]>Hey, thanks for a really nice plugin! It’s working fine on the site I’m using it on. I have one question/request though – is it possible to have a person in more than one category?
Right now I have 3 categories on my site: “Board”, “Researchers” and “Administration”. But one person actually belongs to all 3 categories and it would be really nice if it was possible to have him come up on all the pages.
I hope you can help ??

]]>Since we can tie specific users to specific publications, wouldn’t it be a good idea to display a bibliography on the profile pages?
How about the possibility to assign multiple users to a single publication, in case of a co-written papers?
A more intricate publication form, similar to teachpress’s or Netblog’s, with a publication list following a more scholarly citation style (with the according italic and quotation marks, and term order) for every type of publication would be absolutely great.
]]>Hi there, I installed Academic People list and can see the list on the page that I set up to display the list, BUT when I click to see the user details I get this:
Instead of user details I get: Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

Hello,
This looks like a very promising plugin; but I am experiencing two issues:
Issue 1) I’m receiving a 404 “Not Found” Error when I click on the “Details…” link from People List. The People List IS showing the people and their basic information (Job, Website, Email); but trying to view their individual profiles results in a 404 Error.
Issue 2) It doesn’t seem like there is a way to associate categories with the people. I am able to add categories under “Academic People > People Categories” but the “Category” field within “Users > Academic Information” is greyed out.
Thanks for any & all help!
