Just want to say what a great plugin this is. ive been using it for a long time on various sites and it improves the user experience. a couple of my site have 1000s of posts etc and i wonder if the plugin is slowing down the sites with alot of posts?

Please add a function to add redirection manually. Right now it will redirect to a fallback URL but this plugin lacks that functionality: Redirection Plugin

Also, bring an option to disable redirect to similar URL and only set to a custom URL for all 404 request + manual redirection. After that two additional option the plugin will be full and final. Thanks

Is that possible to automatically create redirection on RankMath when the plugin redirect an url?

So, if a 404 url match with another url and your plugin do a redirection, rather than search each time this url is accessed, it add a redirection to RankMath.

Can you help me to make this or add this feature?

I saw that many peoples had my same issue. After searching and tinking i found the solution: i edited the plugin priority, changing it from 999 to 12. It worked for me and (until now) i had no issues.

After uninstalling this plugin, we are getting lots of unreal 404

The redirects stopped working or at least it literally will only find a post if you have the last one word removed otherwise it servers the fallback so not really working anymore.

We installed your plugin on our test site, and everything worked as expected.

However, after putting our site in production (and replacing the domain name url via SQL queries) your plugin does not work anymore!

When we go to the administration of the plugin, we can see the 4 tabs, but no content: everything is empty.

Thanks for your plugin. I use it on several sites.
I wanted to ask if another small but very useful feature could be set up for me, that blank archive pages (authors, taxonomies) could be set up in the same behavior as 404 page behavior – that visitors would not be allowed to view it, but that pages would refer to a similar post or taxonomy.
I have a code that redirects almost empty archive pages (i.e. archive pages that have only one post) to the post that appears in the archive, but I have not yet found a solution for archive pages when they are completely empty.
I’m waiting to hear what you have to say, and whether you are interested in doing so.

My shop only has single item products. Therefore I love this plugin, because the products get deleted after some time (sold or no longer available).
For SEO purposes I improved this by not deleting old products, but instead stock quantity is set to zero and only after some extended time the product finally gets deleted.
The problem I’m facing now is, that redirects sometimes also lead to products with stock quantity=0.

I’d like to prevent this. Is there a way?

first of all a big “thank you” because this plugin solved 95% of my problems in just one shot ??

Now about the remaining 5%: I have changed url structure from the old site (which wasn’t WP based) to the new one (which is). I only have difficulties with some pages:

let’s say the old site page’s url was:
mysite.com/projects

the new site page’s url is:
mysite.com/it/projects

The plugin sends me to (say) a post with “projects” in its title, and not to the page.
– I’ve not excluded the post type “pages” from the plugin’s post types tab.
– I’ve tried to manually add the redirection rule to .htaccess but no luck so far. Let’s say my rule is valid and not wrong, should it override your plugin’s functionality?

Is there a way to tweak your plugin for a case like this?
Has it anything to do with the groups and engines functions?

Is it possible to redirect blank archive pages like categories and tags to a page with similar title and content, like page 404?

I only want to auto redirect posts and pages. Is there a setting that allows me to turn off auto redirects for 404’s?

I am using Ajax Load More plugin which caches my post content IF cache file is not found on the server. When trying to access a NON EXISTING cache file it is redirected by the WP 404 Auto Redirect plugin to something similar and the cache file is never created. I do need to exclude /wp-content/uploads/alm-cache/ from the automatic redirecttions so if something is not found will return 404 and the cache files can be created as it should.

How can I do this?

Recently added this plugin, and just noticed that all the PDF Tax exempt forms that my customers uploaded are now redirected to products. Any way to reverse this?

I have found a url that unfortunately redirects to a blank page. However I have a working page I want to redirect to. How can I do this manually within your plugin please?

The plugin also redirects Yoast 410 redirected pages. Isn’t it’s possible to exclude that since it’s said 404 redirection not 410?

Google and other websites have many link to old pages.

Your plugin redirects to: https://www.lemiecime.it/tutte-le-cime/
In that page there are no terms like “Vezzena”
I think the problem is it looks for “cime” (that words is present in the path of every old page.

Is there any way to exclude some word from “search engine” ?
