Hello all,
Yesterday I needed to reset my site. I was using a premium theme (Netbase print shop theme) by theme forest. I decided to use a plug in (WP Reset by Matt) to reset the entire site. This plug in seems to have not only reset my theme but also possibly changed the CSS file. I tried installing other stock free wordpress themes and things are out of place, buttons are missing or the formatting is off. Again, this seems to happen with any theme.
In short, the WP Reset plugin seems to have affected all and any theme that I install which I believe it’s because it has affected the main css stylesheet somehow.
Thanks so much for any suggestions.
]]>Hello,
90% wordpress users are not technical background, we can not or do not have time to study what we did wrong when setting up a site, so it would be great if it support multisite since we always need create new one subsite, and delete old one, but the database of old one was not really deleted.

]]>I have been building my WordPress site in a separate folder (WP-test) within the public_html folder in my home directory on my webhost. There is an old website that uses that folder, written in HTML, that I need to leave up while I build the WordPress site. I have made a mess of my WP site and want to use WordPress Reset to roll it back to its original state. I need to know if WP Reset will just affect my WP-test folder and not the other files in the public_html folder.
]]>I used the reset but now my all site is gone. I reloaded my original theme but still nothing. Looking at the pages all I see is a simple page. Not my theme.
]]>I’ve noticed that when resetting my WP installations, I have some leftover settings remaining in the wp_options table. The most important one is the wp_user_roles option but I also get leftover options from the github updater plugin, the wmpl plugin, the woocommerce plugin etc.
Let me know if you need further info.
The plugin seems to be disabling the modal window of the post’s featured image. If I click the link, a new window is opened instead of a modal showing up.

Hi,
Kudos for the great plugin. I tried it today for the first time on one of my test sub domains. Usually I would delete / recreate and install wordpress from scratch, but thought of giving your plugin a try.
Works as advertised, except one thing. Dont know if its bug or designed that way.
After running reset, all the posts, pages, database are cleared as required.
But, on checking Media Library though it shows empty, all the files are still physically available in uploads folder (checked through ftp or cpanel). Without knowing they are still there, they would be consuming server space without ever being used.
If its bug, would love to see it managed in next update, and if its built that way please let us know.
Regards,
Neal
]]>I’d love to be able to reset a site from wp-cli, instead of having to deal with the UI.
Thanks for a great plugin!
]]>I had WordFence installed, and this plugin did not work with that!! I just deleted/ and reinstalled through Cpanel, so no worries, but thought it should be known and stated.
]]>Thanks for a great plugin. It saves a lot of time.
I have 2 needs for my development sites
Is there a way to preserve/recreate other users who are administrators, in addition to the current user?
I would also like to delete all plugins not just deactivate them.
Thanks
]]>Hi there, i need to delete everything related to the theme and i want to re upload the theme in the same wordpress installation as i do not want to get my posts and media deleted. I know that i can backup everything in the xml file and then re upload that xml file. but i will have to put that xml file to other website first and then again download the xml from that website and then re upload to the current website. i do not have any other domain name right now to upload the xml and then re upload the xml again.
I need to know that is there any way i can just delete everything belongs to the theme so that i can upload that theme again and all problem related to the theme go away?
I am doing this because my website is slow but it was not. the same theme on the same hosing works fine. so i need to re upload the theme to get the original speed of the website.
Is there any plugin which can help me?
Can backup plugins help me i mean i do not want to upload that backed up file to other website and then re upload it to my current website.
Thank You.

]]>Hi Matt and Aristeides,
Thnx for developing this little gem. Install nicely, however, as one of the newbies in the world of WP, one more ifo is missing: does it perform the reset automatically after activating or does user has to do something and if so how to perform this actual reset. I saw an earlier post but no answer nor reply. Would love to see this info in the FAQ or installation procedure.
Thumbs up!

Howdy,
as a PTE for the german WordPress community, I would like to add a german translation for your plugin. The plugin works great and it’s very useful to reset some of my WP Test-Installations, whenever I finished translating and testing a theme or a plugin.
So when will your plugin be ready for translation?
Thanks in advance,
trans8or
]]>I have been using this plugin on all of my test sites without a hitch until today…
After updating to WP 4.5 and using WordPress Reset 1.4 I tried to do a reset to one of my sites and it failed with server 500 errors… I have pinpointed the problem to be that the web.config file gets messed up… gives a URL rewrite module error… or WordPress is corrupting it after reset… This is a Windows 2012, IIS 8 server…

Thanks for creating this great plugin, I use it all the time and its made my life much easier!
1) Is there a way to preserve/recreate other registered users, in addition to the admin user?
2) How can I find out the ‘name’ of a plugin I want to be reactivated after a reset? I’ve followed the instruction to set this plugin to be reactivated after a reset, but am having trouble with other options as I’m not sure which name or title, and in what format, to add to the list.
Is there a specific format I need to use?
Thanks for your help.

]]>Hello,
This plugin is not compatible with WordPress Multisite.
I’ve used this plugin a number of times in the past without any issues.
However, after doing the reset yesterday, I was unable to login to my WP admin panel. I also couldn’t reset my password because WP no longer recognized my email or password.
My host (SiteGround) was also unable to log me in. They had to do a full restore of my site.
After the site was restored, I attempted to do the reset again and the exact same thing happened. So it was not just a one time issue.
]]>The site on working on went weird on me last night. I’m using the Sydney theme, but I’ve downloaded several themes and demo content to test the site out, and I loaded and added some changes to sydney yesterday. Everything was working fine, but today, it’s goofed up.
I was wondering if this plugin will completely delete all the themes and demo content that has been loaded in WordPress up to this point.

]]>Hi,
I am using a custom WP theme called Profit Builder.
I had recently broken the theme with a weird plugin that was affecting the way everything worked.
When I reset, it removed the Profit Builder theme & plugin, as well as deleted every page that I had created (about 20 pages total)
Is there a way to restore the lost pages?
