I put it in the plugins folder and the plugins online browser of wordpress admin panel says it is installed, but the plugin does not show up in the plugin lists where it could be activated.

Is this plugin not compatible with multi-site? Or WordPress 4.0? Or what is the problem? ??

There is no documentation on how to really make this work and no screenshots. I implemented the plugin and assigned a category of “32”, created a post and assigned the category anem/post# and nothing showing up on the page.

I mean it’s not flexible enough.
I cannot set a single or multiple category of pages and posts.

Made these quick changes to the settings files to give me bigger thumbnails:
CSS:
#timeline ul .timeline-image{
width: 100%; >> Was 30%
height: auto;
overflow-x: visible; >> Was hidden but was cropping thumbnails
}

php:
add_image_size( ‘timeline-thumb’, 170, 9999 ) >> Was 80
