Doesn’t import custom fields.

Just used the WordPress Importer Extended and was not offered an option to import the data settings. My theme package gave those instructions. If this has been authomatically taken care of, the user should be given an opportunity to opt out. If not, then the user should be given the option to have the settings imported.

Hi,
I notice a difference in behavior between these two plugins which I do not know the origin.
With WP Importer, the author of the post (it’s custom type post) is respected while it is not with WIE (with the same WXR file and the correct
…).
With WP Importer, all the items are correctly assigned to their creator (4 users with permissions level 10).
With WIE, all the items are assigned to the user who is logged in to make the import.
PG
PS: I created the file WXR to import from a correct export file.
It contains:
<wp:author><wp:author_id>1</wp:author_id><wp:author_login>sarkozy</wp:author_login>...</wp:author>
<wp:author><wp:author_id>2</wp:author_id><wp:author_login>merkel</wp:author_login>...</wp:author>
etc.

...

...

...

...

etc.
The WRX file is 1.1.

Thanks for this!
I want to suggest some message after the import is done.
