Is this plugin going to stop working with these new changes to Twitter API fees if you aren’t paying?

When viewing my dashboard, I get a ‘page has insecure elements’ warning because this plugin is getting the Twitter user avatars/profile pics from and HTTP (insecure) connection. Is there a way of fixing this?

]]>The plugin won’t activate due to a single line comment in the file “wpdt-helper.class.php” since the php was minified it commented out a needed part of the file.
Simplest fix for non-programmers is to remove the text:
// The evil w-word again. :-(
or just add a new line before:
return $str; }

Do you know what could be causing this issue?
Many thanks

]]>Hi @all,
yesterday I installed the current version of WDT and it seemed everything is fine. Login to my twitter-account works fine and all tweets are displayed (Answers/Favorites/Retweets/Timeline)
However unfortunately the WDT will not send new tweets anyway. Neither new tweets, retweets, …
If you push the button “send tweet” nothing happens and in addition no error-message is displayed.
I hopes somebody has an idea ??

]]>I have been trying to get this thing to work on the front end, as a way for users to see their own timelines. No avail. Now I get this error:
Could Not Connect to Twitter.
I was trying to see how I could use AJAX to bring the plugin to the front end. I just wanted the timeline piece. So I was using JQuery .load() ajax to get what is inside the timeline tab. But nothing is there. So I thought it had to do with the default tab. Default tab was set to timeline but it didn’t help. So I clicked the “Log Out” link. and now I am getting the above mentioned error, when trying to reconnect.
Please help with both?

Any idea how to fix that? I know that there were some recent changes in Twitter API, isn’t that the problem?
PS: You should also include more specific instructions, it took me a few seconds to find the “Configure” link.

]]>Hello, thanks for great plugin which works great on my admin dashboard!
I don’t really want to use 2 plugins with similiar functionality though – one to work with Twitter from dashboard (yours) and one that displays tweets on my theme.
So is it possible to use the functionality of the plugin to display the feed on my front page as well? Can you guide me which function should I include on my theme template files?
Thank you very much!

]]>Hi! Thank you for offering this product!
I’m running WP version 3.4.2, and was able to install this plugin automatically from the admin panel. But there are a couple of problems.
I’ve tried to update my twitter account with this plugin, and while it looks like it’s going through, my twitter feed remains unchanged. I’ve tried logging off and logging back in through the plugin to authenticate the app twice now.
It’s also able to detect I have 4 statuses on the new twitter account, but just below that, suggests there are “no statuses”, and won’t display the ones already posted.
Here’s a screenshot of how the plugin looks on the dashboard once installed: https://www.webpagescreenshot.info/i/24247-11292012102502pm.png
Any ideas?

]]>I have this installed and connected to my Twitter account (it says it did anyway). Everything looks right. However, it doesn’t actually post. I typed in my tweet, it said it sent it, everything looks like it should work. Alas, it doesn’t show up on my Twitter page and on the WP dashboard it still says I have written 0 statuses. I checked on my Twitter account and it shows up on the app access list. This plugin looks great if it would only work. Thanks! ??

]]>Other tabs work, but the Mentions and Timeline just show what looks like the Ajax loader icon. It just keeps spinning and no data ever loads (in Firefox). In Chrome, those same 2 tabs appear completely blank. (I do have both mentions and retweets for the connected account.)
Also, I had the same issue described by other users here where the Twitter sign-in page took me to this Google Anayltics plugin when I confirmed the Twitter connection.
I got around it by temporarily disabling that Google Analytics plugin before confirming the connection, but then I ran into the problem with the tabs described above.

seems to conflict with the twitter profile widget … the dev website is down – seems as tho this plug-in is going rogue

]]>Hello,
I am trying to sign in from the dashboard widget for the first time. My main goal for having this widget installed is to be able to post tweets from within my dashboard.
When i click the ‘sign in with twitter’ button i am taken to the twitter sign in page (the ‘allow’ app sign in page) So far so good. After having signed in, i should be redirected to my dashboard, and the ‘post to twitter’ widget should appear in my dashboard.
Instead, i am taken to a ‘settings’ page for what seems to be my google analytics plugin settings page.
Whereas i believe i should be taken back to my WP dashboard where instead of the ‘sign in with twitter’ button, the ‘Post to twitter’ widget should be active which still isn’t the case. It just shows the ‘Sign in with twitter’ button again.
I tried it several times and the same thing happens over again.
Please help!

The subject above say most of it. The problem im having ive installed the plugin and i click on “Sign in with Twitter” badge and it try to redirect me to some page but all i get it a white page and nothing else.
Ive used Twitters new OAuth on other plugins and ive set up and applcations in twitter for “Consumer key” and “Consumer secret” so if there a way to manual configer it your self it would be great if someone knows how to get rid of white page im getting. Im not even sure where its trying to send me, I can post like to where badge sends me if you need.
Thanks for any help and sorry for long message tried to explain as best as i could.

Writing tweets normally work fine though. Am using the latest version of WP and WordPress Dashboard Twitter.
This is the (client’s) twitter account if anybody is wondering:

Also the timeline in the dashboard doesn’t show any retweets the people you follow have made.
