For my WordPress installation, I have set it so that when a user logs in, the year “subsciber” will go straight to the website instead of the administration. At the same time, I have the plugin set to force two-factor authentication using a pop-up window.

Unfortunately, the problem is that in this case the pop-up window only pops up after about the third click in the menu on the site. Is there any way to set the pop-up window to appear immediately?

When a new user tries to enter 　email address on his smartphone(android) in Woocommerce My Account > 2-Step Verification, the keyboard disappears immediately and unable to enter email address. Could this be due to the display of server time vs local time?

I am trying to access my site, and everything I enter (via Google Authenticator, or via emailed code) is not working. I enter the right code, and receive a message like this: You have exceeded maximum verify retries. Please try after X minute(s).

This is in PHP 8.0.30

Did anyone else have trouble connecting ManageWP with this plugin active?

It seems like when I disabled this plugin I was able to connect ManageWP.

I cannot sync with ManageWP while this plugin is enabled and it disconnects ManageWP.

in web/app/plugins/wordpress-2-step-verification/includes/Wp2sv_Force.php:18 the function do_ajax is undefined. you have to use wp_doing_ajax.

I’ve had a few users report a verification code going out to them when they aren’t even 2FA enabled. Anyone else seen this?

When selecting other way to sign in, it doesn’t offer me to select a method, but redirects to a page that doesn’t exist.

When logging in via password (not social network via Super Socializer) with 2fa enabled, everything works correctly.

If 2fa is disabled, logging in via social networks works correctly.

Not exactly sure how this happened, but i think it might be when the plugin is deactivated and reactivated. So probably should register the permalink on plugin activation just to be safe.

Verification code doesn’t last long enough for emails. Can we extend it to 5 minutes?

It also needs a warning on the “you’ve been sent an email” page that the code will expire at X time, since the server would know exactly when it should expire.

I’ve had a few people tell me that the emails are not sent at all when trying to log in and the user is only using Email as their method.

It says email has been sent, but it hasn’t.

using the “try another way” and clicking Email does work, but by default it’s not working.

We are trying to add a translation to the plugin but it’s not working like we expect.

We use WPML to translate the site. WPML is detecting 74 translatable strings. We translated these but this only changes the strings that are in the PHP templates.

We can see the translations that we need like ‘Keep the bad guys out’ are in the wordpress-2-step-verification.pot file in the languages folder of the plugin but they are not updated to the vue application.

We tried to manually add a .po and .mo file in te languages folder with the translations and in the /wp-content/languages/plugins but they are not being updated in the site.

We looked trough the code and it looks like the translations are never loaded in de i18n plugin in vue.

Can you help us with this problem? We also want to help with the development because we found some other problems to but it looks like there is no way to build the vue files to the assets files. Can you help us with this?

How would I redirect all users to /my-account/wp2sv-setup/ if they have 2FA disabled? (after login of course)

I’m thinking this might be a fairly easy function to add to functions.php and it could even allow us (with minor coding skills) check for user roles and registration time to allow for grace period etc. Then this plugin would have a few more use cases.

“Saving permalinks” message needs to be added next to the “Show Wp2sv setup in WooCommerce My Account page” checkbox, I almost gave up on this plugin as soon as that seemed to fail.

I try this plugin, a user have turn on the 2-step verification with his email. the day after he did not receive the code to enter on the site. I turn off the 2-step verification to let him connect, but each time he try turn on, the first step enter your email address return the email address is yet configured, and he can’t turn on, also with another email address
I have also add a SMTP configuration to be sure there will not have problems with sending mails.
I have try remove the app and install it again, each time the data are still here…
How can I debug ?

Hi I installed the 2FA plugin and configured for a couple of users but when they log out and then log back in they are not asked for the authentication. The only thing I can think of is that there may be a conflict with the Profile press log in.

Please let me know of any compatibility matters or if you think it might be something else.

My 2-step verification plugin worked previously. I have not changed anything recently.

However, today, it is not sending me the verification e-mails! It is definitely sending to the correct e-mail address, because it shows the e-mail address it is being sent to.

An email with a verification code was just sent to ??????????…

I tried several times, different browsers, it is not in my junk/spam folders.

I found 2 bugs in this that make me not want to use it. Under the “Devices that do not need a second step” section it says there is 4 active session and when I click REVOKE ALL they don’t clear out of there. Also, I used the Authenticator app as the default second-step and email as a backup, but then decided to use email as the default and disable the Authenticator app. It doesn’t accept the changes and keeps requiring the Authenticator App as the default. Basically it seems like the Settings page isn’t writing the changes that I make except enabling and disabling the 2-Step Verification. Maybe it’s a permissions problem. Is there something that can be done about this?

Wp2sv has been updated! To keep things running smoothly, we have to update your database to the newest version. The database update process runs in the background and may take a little while, so please be patient.

It’s there for weeks now. How can I solve this?

I got a notice “WordPress 2-step verification is not fully supported for your wordpress version, translation is not supported by default.
To fix this issue upgrade to WordPress 5.x or copy json translation to wp-content/languages/plugins/wordpress-2-step-verification-en_US.json”

But I don’t know what this means. Copy what translation?

AJAX Add To Cart doesn’t work with this plug-in enabled.

I don’t see anything in the WordPress logs, but I saw this in the Google Chrome dev console. Once disabled I can add items to the cart as a guest without issue.
