I have just installed it and look forward to complete its configuration soonest. From a brief outlook on the plugin functions they are sufficient and practical even for Woo users, if it is a case. I am only on a slighter disappointed side since the FIDO Trust Key option for 2FA isn’t on a list – for this I wish the developers to notice that this kind of security is simply ‘a Must’ these days for a reputable 2FA applications. Please add this function ASAP – even if in a paid plugin variation!

After testing several protections for different sites, this is might choice now.
No issues with non techie clients getting blocked, and no bruteforce attacks on our sites. Thanks Wordfence for this lightweight alternative to your full fledged security plugin.

It’s a good 2FA plugin and recaptcha also works alright. But basic login security is missing. It doesn’t stop bruteforce attack by limiting login attempts. That’s a necessary thing it should have but it doesn’t.

It’s an excellent Multi-factor authentication plugin. I’m really happy with it. I previously used this feature from within Wordfence but have switched to using Fail2ban for handling brute forcing attacks. I use Wordfence login security to protect my admin account and to give WooCommerce customers a nice way to protect their accounts if they choose to.
My only (minor) complaint is that the Wordfence Login Security menu link should be nested under the Settings menu, not a top level menu link. An option to do that would be nice to help keep the admin menu clean.

Been using it for about a year now, and it’s been working great. I’ve used Cerber and other plugins, and they did more damage than good (or I am not technically knowledgeable to solve all the problems that get created). In any case, this small plugin is more than enough to add that important extra layer of security.

I have tried this “light” extension as an alternative to the full wordfence plugin that make my website down suddenly. On my wordpress 6, the two-factor authentication is just not showing ?!

Cannot verify logins coming from wp_login_form within the frontend rendering it almost useless except for extremely simple sites.

We were already using Wordfence, which is an amazing product in itself. This plugin adds an extra layer of security, a very important one. Considering we’re a WooCommerce store, this is very important to us. On top of that, it’s open source!

It requires admin level access for any user to setup 2fa. So if you need 2fa for users that you don’t want admin access you can’t use this plugin. I learned this the hard way after setting it all up and asking all our users to setup 2fa. non admin users got an error requiring admin capabilities.

The Plugin works and integrates nicely into wordfence security and wp itself. TOTP works great, and the captcha integration works too. Sadly it doesn’t support multiple 2fa methods like TOTP & “backup codes” as well as email as backup. Other 2fa methods like U2F are not supported. This Plugin doesn’t work with the yubico yubikey hardware keys.

Another robust Wordfence plugin from the Defiant team. Works well for a bunch of users, with the ability to set individual options. The 2FA works effortlessly with Authy and it’s great to have reCAPTCHA v3 working in the background.
