WooCommerce has carried our business since 2016, the extendability and reliability of the core plugin has allowed us to build a thriving ecommerce business. There are a lot of features which should be in the core plugin but those are easily added through the many premium plugins.
We’ve used WooCommerce for years and have no reason to change.

Hi,
We are developing a site using woocommerce. We are about to finish the development, now the problem is the orders are duplicated with different order id and have receiving 2 emails and 2 sms notifications for the same order. Also the payments are asking to pay twice for the already partially paid order. Seeing the logs on Woocommerrce> status>logs, we received “Transactional email triggered fatal error for callback woocommerce_email_order_meta”. Sometimes, the orders appeared to be 1 time, most of the times , the orders are duplicated. Also when we see the orders on Woocommerce>orders , the duplicate orders with different order id appears to be completed and when we see the orders on pending payments, the duplicate orders with different order id appears to be in pending payment.

I appreciate the troubleshooting suggestions I got from this forum recently that helped me to locate the source of a conflict with PHP 8 that had not shown up with earlier PHP versions. (It was in my custom code in my Child Theme that we actually no longer need anyway.) Our retail shop has been using WooCommerce for almost 8 years with a Site Origin theme, and have found that combination to be flexible, stable, and customizable. A big plus is that the non-technical people on staff can easily learn to add, remove, and update product pages.

Not a designer? Want to know how to work with Woo and its plug-ins? Well, forget it. HORRIBLE documentation. The only place I get any help is from the FB group WPbeginner. Thank goodness for them.

I could not deactivate WooCommerce tax. The problem was solved by deactivating the tax setting in the Printful plugin. Once that was done, I was then able to deactivate tax in the WooCommerce setting.
Shameem gave great advice. Thankyou.

Rajesh K checked my site and found that a plugin was conflicting with woocommerce images on product pages…when I disengaged it the photos appeared as expected… and I decided I really didnt need the extra functionality of the plugin after all. I’m very pleased with that realization, and thankful for the help.

I’ve been a long-time WordPress and WooCommerce fan, but in recent times, dealing with the constant struggle to scale and address basic issues has become overwhelmingly stressful.
The number of GitHub issues I’ve followed—and am still part of—while waiting for simple fixes, like proper inclusive tax calculation on shipping in Australia, is beyond frustrating. Some of these problems have been around for years.
After simply trying to connect WooPayments to a client’s store, I was met with a redirection loop and a barrage of errors. That was the last straw for me. I’ve since started exploring Shopify and learning MedusaJS to migrate the rest of my stores away from WooCommerce.
For small to medium-scale businesses, the challenges of using WooCommerce might be manageable. However, for serious enterprise or high-volume stores, even a small hiccup can lead to a significant loss in revenue.
I’ve followed all best practices: dropped third-party plugins, cleaned up databases, and custom-built functions for peak performance. Despite these efforts, the core WooCommerce plugin still can’t integrate smoothly with its own first-party plugins (Woo Shipping, RMA, etc.). It often feels like their upsells are abandoned, never properly checked for issues.
When developers report problems, they’re often left unresolved for months. Support tends to shift the blame to third-party plugins or themes. I even switched to purely WooCommerce plugins and custom-built themes/functions just to get support to take responsibility—and even then, it’s hit-or-miss.
I genuinely hope WooCommerce can turn things around and become great again, but right now, it seems to be losing ground to newer, more reliable competitors. Basic features like bulk stock adjustments are still missing, and that’s a dealbreaker for many.

Hi there. I hope you’re doing fine. Thank you so much for the Gutenberg Blocks you added to the Woocommerce plugin. But there is a loss on these blocks. There is no “Review Forms” on the blocks list! I’m trying to design a custom dynamic “Single Product” page using Gutenberg blocks. Everything is OK except the “Review Form”! There are no “Review Forms” on the blocks list!
There are just 3 blocks for reviews:
But there is no block for the Review Form! How can I add the default Woocommerce “Review Form” to my Single Product page?

I had a requirement which went beyond the core WooCommerce functionality, and within a very short time of asking for advice, I had (a) confirmation that what I wanted was beyond the core functionality, and (b) a recommendation for a plugin. After installing the plugin I was able to solved my problem easily and quickly.

The first person who replied to my question wasn’t very helpful but the second one was. I didn’t know where to begin to look to figure out the source of my issue, and it wasn’t exactly an easy solution, but it worked, and I learned from it.
