If any required data fields are not filled in or terms and condition is not checked off Paypal still launches a window and shows loading screen indefinitely. No error or prompt that tells customer they are missing these. Not long ago it would go through the process and ask you to login and then error it trys to process payment. It’s been broken like this for many months. I would give this plugin a negative if I could as I have lost customers and have had customers complain my site is broken. It’s really bad this is the only plugin available if you want to use Paypal payments.

Why do you stop the support for a plugin that works and replace it with a plugin that doesn′t work (for a unacceptable share of installations)?

This AddOn doesn’t work, it’s crab! Hands off!

Didn’t work well on my test web site and very glad I tested first before screwing up my live site. Does not respect the ordering of payment method buttons according to the priority of payment methods configured in Woocommerce settings. Instead, it forces its way to the top, which a complete deal breaker because I also have Stripe (lower fees) and Klarna. Furthermore, it seems you end up on a monthly billing plan when you make the switch, and it’s not reversible!

PainPal has actual reps calling all my customers telling they MUST upgrade, but they are only wanting them to upgrade because they want your customers to have that PainPal Credit option to get more people to signup for their new credit service. SO MANIPULATIVE! For the 6 customers of mine that I couldn’t convince to not go with this plugin (due to the rep literally calling over and over again until they caved and just told me do it anyway) They all came back later complaining there were complaints from customers not able to checkout and they were losing money. I HIGHLY recommend you NEVER install this plugin, but if PainPal will keep on your customers and you can’t convince them to ignore them or tell them to leave them alone, just make sure you put your recommendations in writing like I did so you can refer back to that when they start waiving the “I’ve lost revenue” flag at you.

Since the last update, a huge notice appears on the plugins page for you to subscribe to the premium version. This notice looks like an update notification, which is confusing for my clients, who are continually asking me to update this plugin when it is perfectly up to date. The plugin should not include this type of advertising without being able to be discarded.

Works great–never had any issues with it! A+

Too long to wait for answer and didn’t solve problem. All answers were out of topic. Seems like support speaks some other alien language.

90% of the website problems are from this plugin, the button not working in Instagram in app browser, and support is very bad.

Works great, thank you for your work.

It works great, but the features to show the button on product page and cart page not a smart option, it will slow down the loading of the product page speed. it can be closed by setting.
The most bad thing is that it cannot auto return the /order-received/ page, that make the GA cannot track whether the customer had finished the paid. It takes some issues on my re-marketing setting for the google ads.
The papal standard can set the auto return page, but I need to set multisites, that also not work.
Is it possible that the plugin set it auto return to the /order-received/ page.

Doing A/B testing with this plugin installed and then deactivated & deleted, my GTMetrix rating would fall on average 13-22 points when this plugin was installed and activated. I tried multiple times back to back uninstalling and running speed tests and every single time when i uninstalled this plugin, my speed increased ALOT. GTMetrix showed 7-8 HTTP Requests on EVERY SINGLE PAGE on my store, yet there was no paypal or mini cart or anything. This plugin has a LARGE footprint with external http requests and it really hurt my site to the point where i clicked a page and it took 7-8 seconds to load versus not having this plugin installed and pages loaded in under 2 seconds.

As I have inspected, issues are mainly with –
1. Session and nonce verification issue for other plugins.
Other simple plugins are not working correctly with this plugin.
Too poor performance.

I’m amazed at how many bad reviews this plugin has, then I installed it and can see why.
This has so much potential but has so many issues it seems.
Terminology is wrong in places, so instructions are wrong.
The Credit/Debit card entry can take 2-3 seconds to appear, no feedback for the end user when they press a button and realise they need to scroll down for a new section which has appeared, so UX is terrible.
It deserves 5 stars as you can get it all to work, and this is a free plugin, but I’ve left 3 stars for it’s sloppy coding and assume it’s been developed by too many people or change of coders since it’s been created.

When I modify or change its settings. I always seem to need to disable all plugins before I start again.

What happened in this plugin ? suddenly the payment button vanished from the forms ?? i pref this because of its professional design but its not working now ??
]]>Rating: 2 stars
Wow, without warning this plugin dropped the ball. Many customers suddenly couldn’t check out using credit card anymore. That narrow billing form that suddenly requires customers to enter their billing details a 2nd time after just having completed the main checkout form is not good usability. The delay until that form appears without any indicator about what’s happening is not great.
Backend functionality that doesn’t work as intended (hiding payment methods)
All in all sadly not good enough, so have disabled it again.
2 stars only because it seems support here is working and the team seem to be aware of the issues.

I want to get the old design with images for the credit cards available to pay
how I do that ?

The experience with this plugin has been great. Lost of customization options for payment process. Support always addresses customers’ concerns with timely updates. Great value for zero investment. Thank you, WooCommerce Team!

I’ve tried several plugins for checkout, and this one is the most convenient for me. Paypal sometimes fails to work properly, put it’s not the plugin’s fault)

Simple settings and works it!

It would be nice to have performance improvements to make the plugin more lightweight.
And also to have the Express Checkout button work similarly to Shopify in the checkout page (without forcing the user to fill all the required details…it defeats the purpose of ‘Express’ checkout).
