Hi, when I refresh the cart, it allows me to share again after the first time, giving me another discount, in that sense, the person can add as many discounts as they want, which is not the aim here. Can this bug be fixed, please? It’s a great plugin, but this problem is cause for concern.

So, i’m setting up a german wc shop and we’re using your great plugin. At this moment we get our webseite proofed from “Deutscher H?ndlerbund” and we do need to know, if the load of the button “Click here to get a 10% discount coupon.” in cart sends user data to social network.

We just know, that user data will be transfered, when the user click on the share button, but we do need to know, what data exatcly will be tranfered within this process

Hello, i really like the plugin.
But i need help with it. I just checked this plugin today. The code is working. the plugin works too.. but if i click on share to fb or twitter.. the code is generated and when you close the window without share. you can still use the code.. but its not shared to twitter or fb.. so you can get the coupon for free..

This plugin looks like a GREAT idea.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. Really hoping you can update it soon ??

Here are the three bugs I found:

1) If I choose to only show it on the Thank You page, it still shows on the Cart page.

2) After sharing on Facebook the discount code does not appear on the order thank you page.

3) The text description for Facebook does not work. It does not show on the Facebook share at all. It gets ignored when the user shares on Facebook.

After some testing, I did find that there seems to be a potential malicious way to abuse the coupons. After I click share and get the coupon code, I can still click refresh and get new codes and apply multiple of them to the same order.

Is there a way to set limit to all the coupon to be Individual use only?

Thank you for your great plugin.

For some reason email is not sent following “click-here”, but only on Microsofr Edge browser following clicking “click-here” the coupon number shows up !!! and this the best way to get the coupon number.

So, is it possible to show up coupon number (instead of sending it via e-mail) also on Google Chrome and Safari ?

Now since the pleasantries are done with, perhaps you can help me out. The plugin doesn’t show up yet on the frond end.

This is what I done so far:

installed the plugin

registered at facebook developers

created an app, followed successfully all the steps of this youtube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V97h03H21y0

added the facebook ID to WSSDC
added the facebook app secret to Facebook Application Version

Saved the settings

And unfortunately ….nothing.

Edit: I checked also if no other plugin caused issues.

Please advise!

What a pity!
The plugin is not working properly.
The sharing window with the tweeter and FB logos is truncated.
There is just a small white rectangle that appears.

If you are using this plugin and its not showing on your page .

go to woo-social-share-discount-coupon/public/class-woo-social-share-discount-coupon-public.php

and on line no 72

change jquery.easing-1.4.pack.js to jquery.easing-1.3.pack.js and save file .

Author use wrong file name and because of it , its not working .

This isn’t showing up on my cart page or order confirmation.

There are some bugs.

First of all in your css file.

#fancybox-content {width:auto !important;}

This gives a width of 0px. It should be:

#fancybox-content {width:275px !important;}

Second: I miss the ability to translate the plugin. I had to edit the class-woo-social-share-discount-coupon-public.php file to translate ist.

But now I had to deactivate it because the Plugin is not sending any email with the coupon codes.

I have the following plugins installed:

Newsletter
Postman SMTP

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

The plugin works fine in cheque payment mode. when we chose online payment with PayUbiz the order is placed and directly redirected to payment gateway page it skips the share option.. Kindly help solve this problem.. Cant we have the share option at the end of cart.

I was wondering is it possible to apply this plugin the following way. User starts to checkout, fills all the fields, payment methods etc. and clicks purchase. This triggers the modal window which ask customer to share to receive a ex. €10.00 discount. Once a person shares the coupon discount is applied automatically.

just a heads up for something you need to look into please. I had to switch the plug in off for now as i realised it was breaking my Facebook page widgets and turning them into odd shortcode that placed a Quote short code from my theme in the place of the Facebook widget.

The strange thing was it happened with all diff versions of plug ins or short codes (even the one direct from Facebook) that dealt with Facebook page widgets being added.
