There are currently four Wishpond plugins which fall into the category of “free but useless unless you pay $$$”. Unfortunately, this is one. The products are awesome but the marketing tactics seem so against the way everyone else does it in WPdom.
See my thorough review of another here.
Currently a subscription is listed starting at $45/month, but don’t be fooled–that’s the yearly rate. Monthly billed monthly starts at $69.

I was going to consider this just an undesirable plugin. I tried it, I saw that it needed membership. Now, I’m getting spam emails from Wishpond.
Eg.
Hi

I didn’t make a campaign. This things phoned home with my WP email address and now I’m getting messages (two in four hours) prompting me to do more.

This requires a subscription.

To have this commercial plugin listed here is in fact misleading.
Getting a free traffic to a paid for service is not ideal unless you want to make your Basic plan FREE of charge. Otherwise you should list it somewhere else in my opinion because nothing is free in your offer.

I would highly recommend NOT using this plugin. They state 14 day free trial but only if you select the monthly plan. I did not and they would not refund my $ within the 14 day trial.

You just have one trial free month.

Honestly, this features looks great.
The problem is the author forgot to note the fact that you have to buy a plan in order to use it.

Don’t think I like the idea of a program automatically sending out emails or messages to others just because I did something (such as joining a contest, like this app does). Sounds a lot like spamming to me.

Good, easy to use

Please change your description to be upfront that your service is not free.

In order to start the trial you require a credit card.

This plugin is not free. It guides you through all the steps to create a contest then asks you to pick a paid plan starting at 29$.
While paid-for plugins can be great, hiding the fact that users have to pay to make any kind of use of this one is simply a way of fooling people.

While this has potential, in its current version there are too many issues. The implementation within WordPress required two tech support calls and nearly 90 minutes of my time. Not as easy as represented.
The user interface for the contest is quite poor. The photos layout 3 across on a page, with far too much white space on the right. The photos are small. They are displayed 6 at a time and then the user has to hit a “Load More” button to see more photos. We currently have 48 photos and it is already unwieldy.
You can see an enlarged photo by clicking on it, but only one at a time. There is no slideshow feature, so if you want to look at all of the photos, you have to click on them one at a time, go back to the full list, and click again. VERY poor user interface.
I have just learned that there is no way to export the photos entered, other than saving them one by one. This in itself is a deal breaker.
Great idea, poorly executed.
