]]>Starting yesterday:
– a rolling list of agendas was under password “wxyz”
– I added info re controversial local development
– we are a small group, only a few people have password. And no one would go to the Agenda’s posting until I send them Notice of Meeting.
– there was a sudden run up in “hits” when I “updated” the posting.
– I removed some content and changed the password. The “hits” kept on going up.
– Hence my question: if someone encounters the requirement for a password that they don’t have, is it counted as a “hit”? even if they can’t actually access the posting?
– another thing happening just now: the “hits” counter showed something like “224”. When I returned a short time later, it shows “178” (I think it was.)
Any help in understanding what is happening will be appreciated! Thank-you.
]]>Hello.
I’m a blogger who has had some version of this plug-in installed for ages now.
Since a recent update, I decided to poke around in the plug-in settings, and the first detail which I found was, that I needed to reset the plug-in’s database. The plug-in itself never mentioned it.
After that, I discovered that this plug-in does not have an Import / Export Page, which the Help section tells us we should use.
How can I access such a panel, when the plug-in has no such panel? I therefore also cannot find any ‘Import Geo Location Data’ entry.
Also, when I click on the “Front-End Widget” settings option, I get a message telling me that the page does not exist. Again, a part of the plug-in that’s just plain missing.

When I click the link export/import page on the /admin.php?page=whtp-visitor-stats page it says Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Hope this plugin would work just what we need

]]>Hello, again, @mahlamusa.
I’ve been using your plugin v1.4.5 for a long time and it has been working great until this latest issue. I have upgraded to WordPress 4.9.4. I had to deactivate all my plugins to resolve an issue. When I tried to activate Who Hit the Page I received error 504 Gateway Time-out.
I tried deactivating all my other plugins and then tried to activate only Who Hit the Page and still got this error. I also deleted and reinstalled the plugin and I still got this error.
Do you have a suggestion on how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Mike
]]>Hello,
I added the commands [whohit]Name-Page[/whohit] to all pages and posts but… how do I count the “Home”? That doesn’t count as a “page”…
Hi
I have put the shortcode on my home page but it leaves a visible white line where it has been placed at the bottom of the page.
Is there a way to stop this from showing up like that?
Thanks

Hi –
Thanks for the Who Hit the Page plugin. It is great!
I recently migrated my site to a new server with a new URL. Since then, the Who Hit the Page plugin seems like it is working fine, but when I go to the main Who Hit The Page Hit Counter page, I get an error:

How can I clear this error?
Thanks!

]]>Hi Mahlamusa,
Thank you very much for your plugin to count the page hits. It’s been very useful for me.
I have a fairly minor issue, and maybe your plugin already handles this and I’m unable to find it. It looks like you don’t use the timezone information in the General Settings, so the timestamps for the entries are incorrect.
Can you let me know if there is a way to get the correct timestamp to be displayed?
Thanks!

]]>Here are my issues:
First—the counter is counting a page hit twice—that is 2 counts for 1 hit. Any solution?
I have enabled it on the home page without much problem and it is gathering statistics. However, I want to place it on a Woocommerce default shop page and the shortcode doesn’t process, but shows up as text on the page in the browser. I have tried different ways—including in the sidebar within a text widget which usually works with shortcodes—but it just shows up as text and the shortcode isn’t processing.
Any advice to fix this? What is the best way to insert the shortcode?
________________
The other question is about the “Who Hit The Page,” “View All The Details” section where it lists visitors in one vertical column. This looks like this will get infinitely deep; if it keeps adding visitors it will be a mile-deep page in no time. Is there any way to break this listing into pages with control over how many are visible per page? Or, is there some way to delete the listings and keep the data as to page hits, location, browser, etc. I’m afraid if I delete a listing the associated hit data will be deleted too.
I’m just afraid it will get so many listings that it will become invisible.
Let me know. I love the plugin because it’s simple and works with a shortcode for specific pages, so I hope you can help me with these issues.

in the Who Hit The Page Hit Counter, i have 2 times the same IP,
in views details, location is always unknown i have to use the web for each ip to know …
there are several view details ip with exactly the same details and in fact the total number of the page clik, not their own click.
Some have only 1 clik but i am quite sure it’s wrong.

]]>This is a fantastic plugin. I’d donate but have hesitated for one reason. I lose time and information every time I deactivate then reactivate the plugin. Deactivating the plugin resets ALL of the data when it’s reactivated. I wish it could retain the weeks and months worth of accumulated data when deactivating. Occasionally, routine site maintenance requires that I deactivate all plugins then reactivate them. Who Hit The Page Hit Counter is the only plugin I use that erases all data and settings by simply deactivating.

I am using WordPress 4.1 and the plugin “Who hit the page”. I can see the number of pages per IP address but when I like to see what pages has been looked at for that particular IP address, I only see Un-identified pages.

I’ve looked at the code and cannot figure out what it wants, but I think that the /i modifier causes the i to be treated as a delimiter instead of a modifier. Not sure, but that’s my opinion.
