Hi all,
Just used the plug-in, worked (almost) perfectly. The endnotes appear when I follow the link to that specific post. But when I view the same post on the blog’s homepage, they are not visible. Does anyone know how to make them visible on the homepage?
Thanks,
Adam
Does anyone know if this plugin can allow for cross-referencing, i.e. if the same source is cited multiple times having it show up as the same #, not as a separate reference each time?
If not, is there a different endnote plugin that allows for cross referencing?
Thanks!

]]>The open/close Syntax used in a post combined with the the first variant of [note … something … ] breaks the function of this plugin. You have to choose one syntax only in a single post.
It′s important for me, because I play with the thought, that I deinstall “Simple Footnotes” because of the usability of the syntax. The Look and Feel of this is plugin is better.
With a search and replace plugin I could make [ref]…[/ref] to [note]…[/ref], so that I′ll not loose my old footnotes from simple footnotes.

]]>I sometimes link internally using RB Internal Links, which allows me to link to other posts/pages on my site using just [intlink type="post/page" id="post-or-page-slug"]link text[/intlink]
. I’ve been using WP-Footnotes for a long time, but I’ve tired of its ((footnote text))
syntax and lack of updates.
This endnote plugin offers much better syntax for inserting notes (what could be better than [note]Footnote text[/note]
?), but shortcodes in the footnotes are not parsed recursively. I could hack that support in myself, as I did for WP-Footnotes, but I feel that there is a much higher chance of my edits being overwritten by an update with this plugin.
The changes are simple, really. In wsa_the_content_filter()
, just add do_shortcode()
like this (edited to link instead of including code, because these forums apparently decode multiple levels of HTML entities and break everything)

]]>Hello guys! I just installed the WebStartAvenue Endnotes plugin and I must say that I’m very happy with it. It’s much better than the FD Footnotes plugin, as I don’t have to add a number at the beginning of each footnote. I just add “endnote” and voila!!
However, there is currently an issue: Links within the endnotes are, for some reason, unclickable. I hope the WebStartAvenue fix this issue on the next release. Also, they need to fix their contact form; it’s not working for some reason…
Thanks for developing this cool plugin WebStartAvenue team! ??

]]>Hi there. Great plugin. I am using the tagging:
…end of sentence.[note This is my footnote.] New sentence…
and when the post is generated there is a space before the note number; i.e.:
…end of sentence. 1 New sentence…
How do I get rid of that space. I noticed that in your screenshot there is no space.
