Is it possible to add a setting that allows pre-orders to be ordered with other products in the same cart?

I have pre-orders set up with there own shipping class, and at checkout each shipping class is applied to the shipping costs individually.
This being the case, having pre-orders and items already in stock in the same order isn’t a problem as far as shipping calculations.

Would it be possible to add global message options?

The current defaults such as:

Release date message: “we can ship this product within”
Error message: “Currently You have Preorder product on cart !!”

Don’t translate very well, having options in the main plugin options area to set these would be amazing.

Alternatively, is there a code I can use to rewrite the plugin messages globally?
