I’m getting an error when trying to use GiveWP on a site with Visual Subtitle installed and activated (it causes a 500 error and parts of the form won’t load).
(index):209 GET https://test.local/give/donation-form?giveDonationFormInIframe=1 500
Do you know what could be causing this? The GiveWP form works perfectly when Visual Subtitle is disabled. Thanks for any help here.

I’m having an issue with the plugin. The last post subtitle goes to my homepage title. So now my blog name displays the subtitle of my last post in the page. How can I fix it?

Missing argument 2 for Visual_Subtitle::filter() in /lv1/var/www/vhosts/med/wp-content/plugins/visual-subtitle/class-visual-subtitle.php on line 294
Requests for a fix have been submitted to the developer on the support forum but none has been forthcoming. I really like the way this works, but I’m having to switch to another subtitle plugin to avoid a long error log ??
Here’s an odd one.
On pages whose first post is subtitled, the subtitle is appended to the end of the page’s

tag.
Currently my site‘s first two pages demonstrate this. Page three contains no posts with subtitles, page 4 has a subtitled post at the bottom.
It’s happening both with my 2014 child them, as well as 2014 itself.
I might have to break into this plugin myself, can anyone advice me on what to look for? wp_title filters maybe?

Using Visual Subtitle with Modern Tribe’s “The Events Calendar” posts code to the screen in this format:
SUBTITTLE” rel=”bookmark”> TITLE SUBTITLE
You can see what’s happening in the code:
<a class="url" href="pageurl" title="TITLE <small class=" subtitle"="">SUBTITLE" rel="bookmark">
TITLE SUBTITLE
I was trying to remove it to avoid the problem and I see there is a filter setup:
return apply_filters( 'visual_subtitle_supported_types', $supported_types );
https://github.com/GaryJones/visual-subtitle/issues/6
but I can’t figure out how to use it in my functions file so that the subtitle is disable on tribe_events post types, anyone familiar with filters could show what code to use?

Can anyone tell me how to show the Visual Subtitles in my cearch results?

Hello,
after installing and activating the plugin, unfortunately i get to see what appears to be a broken code line above the title.
Follow this link, it will clear things up:

Please inform me of what could be wrong.
I noticed my theme doesn’t have links for my headings so I went and modified the code to look like this:

<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" title="Read: <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?>

<a href="https://foodandchatter.co.za/does-blind-tasting-change-how-we-experience-food/" title="Read: Does Blind Tasting change how we experience food? <small class=" subtitle"="">Rediscover Cape Town">Does Blind Tasting change how we experience food? Rediscover Cape Town

as you see your plugin breaks the flow with that silly small tag ??
Any idea what to use instead of <?php the_title(); ?>
in this case or how to fix this?
If you are using both, the Visual Subtitle plugin breaks the twitter button, spilling text all over, see screen shot: https://screencast.com/t/axBS5NSF3
Do you think there is something you can do or is this something the other plugin author should look at? I’d really need both plugins but for now have deactivated the Visual Subtitle one ??

Hey there!
Firstly, great plugin. It’s really elegant code and very easy to understand – something sadly very rare these days.
One thing I’ve noticed is that if you edit the subtitle using the quickedit, then it actually completely blanks the subtitle, rather than saving it. Can’t see any obvious hooks as to where you’ve saved the edits from the quickedit bar, perhaps that’s meant to be handled by WordPress?
Again, thanks for a cracking plugin and one which people should look out to see how to code ‘properly’
