Form submit always results in an errorpage ‘… is required’ for checkbox fields, no matter if they are filed in or not.
Changed everything to Radio to circumvent problem.
]]>We use VFB Pro and the VFB Pro – Form Designer add-on.
Our license key is 19910 and the email associated with that license is here.
Back in November of 2023 we had a spammer attempt to use VFB Pro to hack our site at https://3d.ogaugerr.com. He was not successful, but all the posts he entered (over 600 of them!) are still there. And I cannot delete them. I can move them to trash one by one, but when I attempt to select a form to view the entries and empty the trash, I get the dreaded WordPress message, “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” Thankfully there is actually no critical error and the site still works fine. But the 600+ spam messages remain, as does this internal defect.
I have downloaded the spam/hacker entries as a CSV file. How can I delete the spam messages and fix this problem?
If necessary, I will give you admin access to the site.
Thank you.

]]>Since this is apparently a dead plugin, and support is no longer helping, I wanted to share something that worked for me.
I suddenly stopped receiving email notifications when a form was submitted.
After digging around, I found that setting up the SMTP option under VFB Pro settings fixes the problem.
You’ll have to get the information from your host, but if you can get it setup, you should be good to go.
Good luck!

]]>When you are viewing a message and you click on “move to trash” on the right, you receive an error message: “The link you followed has expired. Please try again.“
If you click to “Please try again” you go back to viewing the message but you still can’t delete it.
Please solve the bug.
The export of vfb pro is not in order of the entries by date.
You can solve this by modifing the admin/class-export.php like the following:
After
$entry_data = $vfbdb->get_entries_meta_by_form_id( $form_id, $where );
add this code:
// problem: the array $entry_data is not ordered by ID, so it is not in order of the entries
// extract the “ID” values into a seperate array
$idArray = array_column($entry_data, “ID”);
// sort the original array by ID
array_multisort($entry_data, SORT_ASC, $entry_data);
Just wanted to let you know.

]]>Hello,
My client is using the VFB Pro plugin but the license has expired. I tested the site on PHP 8 and it looks like the version I have installed isn’t compatible with PHP 8. I checked the changelogs for the Pro version but they haven’t been updated since 2021. I wonder if someone could reply as to whether the pro version is compatible with PHP 8, or if it will be soon? I’m hesitant to repurchase if this plugin isn’t being updated anymore.
Thanks!

]]>Running VFB 3.1
When site visitors complete the form and submit it, the form is submitted properly and all appropriate emails are sent as expected. Then, moments later or hours later, the form is submitted again – but the visitor claims it was not submitted again by him.
Recent use by 30 visitors to the form: 25 were submitted and processed successfully without incident; 5 were submitted and processed OK… then after a time there were one or more subsequent submissions of those 5 submissions – with no apparent rhyme or reason.
The mail log shows each of the 5 questionable submissions coming from the same place, as though it was proof that the visitor submitted the form again; however they claim they did not – almost like the device they were submitting from caused the multiple submission behind their back.
I have checked the setup on this particular form against others in use, and they all have similar characteristics and all the other forms in use do not have this problem.

If I say it is a code like A001 – then every student who register should get A002 – A003 according to the order they fill and submit the form. This way the plugin can be used more conveniently.
Does anyone have any idea or the author can implement this?
