Great plugin, thanks! BUT my VIP Scanner v0.7 sets off my WP Antivirus v7.5 as “Unsafe Files” and “File with malicious codes” The files in question are…
/wp-content/plugins/vip-scanner/vip-scanner/checks/WordPressCodingStandardsCheck.php
/wp-content/plugins/vip-scanner/vip-scanner/checks/ClamAVCheck.php
WP Antivirus v7.5 is by SiteGuarding.com (SafetyBis Ltd.)
Any idea if whatever is triggering the false positives can be fixed? Thanks!!
]]>Hi dear plugin author, this plugin is no loading at all after beein installed, its setting page only appears loading and then the page crash, help please
]]>The plugin isn’t compatible with WordPress v4.6.1 .. This message [This site can’t be reached] generated from the url [../wp-admin/tools.php?page=vip-scanner]

]]>Hi,
I try to scan my theme with VIP scanner. When I click on VIP scanner under Tools, I see a plain page with VIP SCANNER title and nothing else! I tried with 2 different theme. It only works when a child-theme is activated and it assume the child-theme as the parent-theme and finds 1000 errors because there is not file in a child-theme! Is there a way that we can receive a support from your team?
Thanks,
]]>Just letting your team know that this is the second time in 4 months I’ve tried your VIP Scanner plugin. No sooner after activating it, it crashes my Apache (v 2.4.9) on my local XAMPP setup with a fatal error.
Based on another topic in your support, it appears that if this is related, it doesn’t look like it’s working for me with the 0.7 version.

This is the error that happens after activating your plugin, then going to Tools >> VIP Scanner, it does the error:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: httpd.exe
Application Version: 2.4.9.0
Application Timestamp: 532585f0
Fault Module Name: php5ts.dll
Fault Module Version: 5.5.11.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 53448459
Exception Code: c00000fd
Exception Offset: 0005be84
Not sure if that provides any clues or not, but I had to disable the plugin.
]]>I have VIP Scanner installed along with my custom theme. Plugin does show the “Issues” on top right, however, when clicked it, open a blank page after taking around 10secs.
Anyone can be of help?
]]>I would love to upgrade to 0.6 but when I click on the VIP Scanner page under Tools in 0.6, I get an empty page and this error in the console:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING
0.4 works fine. Running on a local MAMP machine running Apache PHP 5.5.10 (though I tried it with versions of 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4).
]]>Even though I have the latest version of this plugin installed, WordPress still keeps trying to update it. I think you either forgot to put in the version number or entered it incorrectly.
Here’s what WP shows me even after I click the update button again and again…
You have version installed. Update to 0.2. View version 0.2 details.
Attempting to activate the VIP Scanner plugin, as suggested by the Automattic Developer plugin, I get the following:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(__DIR__/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [dir]/wp-content/plugins/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php on line 12
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '__DIR__/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php' (include_path='[path]') in [dir]/wp-content/plugins/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php on line 12
Now I’m trying to set this up on a self-hosted, test installation of WP. Is the VIP Scanner exclusively for VIP sites? If so, I’ll stop worrying about it.
Thanks!
]]>Updating the git version of VIP scanner breaks the plugin. The error is:
wp-content/plugins/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php on line 12
require_once(__DIR__/vip-scanner/vip-scanner.php)
__DIR__ is new in PHP 5.3. If you need this script to run on earlier versions of PHP, you should use dirname(__FILE__) instead.
