Hello, please I purchased videopress so that I can restrict video access on my website. I want videos to play only to those who purchase my course on senseilms. But I’m not unable to use it because my website is not on WordPress.com it’s on www.remarpro.com each time I go to jetpack to try ACTIVATE it, it takes me back to the purchase page and tells me to purchase WordPress hosting packages. I’m kind of confused and don’t know what to do. What to do please?
]]>VideoPress is now part of Jetpack! If you’d like to use the VideoPress service, you can install the Jetpack plugin and activate the VideoPress module.
If you have questions about VideoPress, you can start a new thread in the Jetpack support forums, or send us an email!

]]>Hi,
I have a site hosted at 1and1 and would like to know if I can via Jetpack activate the Videopress and pay the subscription and then allow site users to upload their own video to their business listing?
Is this possible?

]]>Hi
I have just upgraded my website with a SSL certificate.
Videopress is causing problems. The videos refuse to load once the page is SSL. In Chrome’s developers console the error message is:
[blocked] The page at ‘https://www.visionvid.tv/norfolk-wedding-video-dvd-suffolk/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but ran insecure content from ‘https://s0.videopress.com/js/videopress.js?ver=1.09’: this content should also be loaded over HTTPS.
Ho can I make https://s0.videopress.com/js/videopress.js?ver=1.09′ content secure?
Any help with be super. Thanks.
Shaun
I just uploaded a new video, about 36 minutes, and it looks great within my WordPress.com/Native VideoPress environment, but isn’t HD when embedded in my web site which is self-hosted .org.
Here’s the raw file URL:
https://solacesystems.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/design-patterns-for-data-movement_full-presentation-video.mp4
But embedded into my web site, at the same 700px wide as my other videos, it’s not defaulting to HD like all my other videos (per the setting). I even added hd=true to try to force HD and that’s not working either.
Here’s the new video that’s not HD:
https://solacesystems.com/resources/videos/data-movement-design-patterns
Shortcode [wpvideo ObfOXnqi w=700 hd=true]
Here’s one of many existing videos that defaults to HD, and provides the
HD symbol/selector in the top right corner of the player.
https://solacesystems.com/resources/intro-to-solace
Shortcode: [wpvideo CcP48blw w=700]
Please advise.
]]>I have a wordpress site. https://www.GMOGMedia.tv that is hosted by ipower.com. I’ve added the videopress plugin through wordpress directly. Once I did that I go to the option, “Posts” than “Add New Post” I click on the “Add Video” option once I do that it sends me directly to the WP site to login again. I login using my WP credentials but my https://www.GMOGMedia.tv hosted website is not linked to the actual wordpress site.
So the question is how do I link my information to wordpress login from m hosted site via ipower.com?

]]>Hello,
I would like to offer video uploads via my VideoPress installation to my Multisite users. While this plugin works under multisite, technically, I have some concerns about privacy and logisitcs:
* It looks like all of my multisite users would also have to have an account on my WordPress.com/videopress account too in order to upload videos? This would be a logistical nightmare to set them up with an account and website on my multisite network AND have to also invite them to my wordpress.com (with videopress) account so that they can also upload videos. Even if I wanted to do this double login for all of my customers, I already have 100+ sites on my network, but it looks like I can only invite 10 people to share the account on WordPress.com?
* For me, part of the point of using multisite was that Jane A. can have her site with her pages and media and Judy B. can have her site with her pages and media and their media and pages stay on their own sites and do not mingle. VideoPress appears to show everyone all videos uploaded to the wordpress.com/videopress account, even ones the super admin uploaded? This is rather cumbersome with 100+ sites on my network. Imagine Jane A. having to sort through 100’s of other people’s videos to find her own two or three videos? Please tell me there is a way to restrict this so that each blog on the network can see only the videos they’ve uploaded? Please?
I have tried activating VideoPress as both Network wide and by individual sites in the network and there does not appear to be any type of “settings” page where I could indicate whether to:
A: set an API key or login information so my users can just upload videos, period. no double log in.
B: choose to either share all videos across the whole network OR only show each site the videos that have been uploaded for JUST that site.
Thanks in advance
~Bonnie

]]>Hi,
I have a premium version of Videopress. I tried using both the Videopress plugin and the Jetpack plugin (for Videopress) to embed a shortcode of a shareable video onto my self-hosted site but to no avail. This is the error I got:
“VideoPress Error. https://www.mysite.com is not an allowed embed site. Publisher limits playback of video embeds”
However, this is not true. Neither the site nor the video was restricted from sharing or embedding. Also, only the shortcodes do not work. If I were to embed the html code, the video will run.
I tried to determine if there were conflicts between different plugins on my site with the videopress (and Jetpack) plugin. But this does not seem to be the case.
What is going on? Why is the shortcode not working?

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class VideoPress_Video in /home/content/52/11943252/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/videopress/class.videopress-video.php on line 6
How can I generate the homepage featured preview/thumbnail for a post using my self-hosted site and my Videopress plugin? the site is 0hag.com/entertainment , can you see the last 3 posts and no thumbnail…help me please.I have jetpack too. Thank you
]]>Hi, would you please seperate Share and Download sections.
I mean to download the video we should go and find it under Share section, but it would be better that Download section won’t be under Share! Having Share and Download will be so cool.
I want my videos have download links too but I don’t want it to have Share button, so it’s so useful for me and those are like me.
And please answer would you do it or not for next release.
– Thanks so much for your one-&-only plugin.
]]>Several of our VideoPress uploads are not displaying the title entered on the videos embed.
You’ll see the second and last videos on this page do not display the title even though one was entered – https://missions.fpcnashville.org/mission-videos/
Weird glitch? Something wrong in the way the title was entered?
Thanks for your help!
]]>I am trying to setup VideoPress on my site but have found the following issues:
1) When I register the wordpress.com site, I am unable to log back in. I click on the link in the email and it never accepts my username or password. Tried resetting it but never works.
2) The video button in the post admin, when the modal loads, I get prompted to login. This also does not work with correct or incorrect credentials. I keep getting these error in my console:
Refused to display ‘https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php’ in a frame because it set ‘X-Frame-Options’ to ‘SAMEORIGIN’.
This seems like a really good product idea. I was interested in using this solution to host about 50Gb of video data that I have but it does not seem to work.
Please let me know once your product is working and I will look at purchasing it.
Cheers,
Timothy
I have uploaded dozens of videos via VideoPress on my self-hosted wordpress account.
When I go into my media library, some videos have an Ogg file url available, some don’t. I have uploaded some videos multiple times and still no URL.
I’d like to use the url as a link to open the video in another, independent window.
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix?
thanks.
]]>I installed the plugin and uploaded a video. Everything seems to work fine but if I disable the sharing function on a video by unchecking the “Display share menu and allow viewers to embed or download this video”, the video spits out an error and says my domain is not allowed to embed the video. Is it possible then on a self-hosted site to disable Sharing?
]]>I’m not a developer, so please forgive me if this is a dumb question. Is this plugin something I need to pay for yearly, or do I buy it once? And if it’s a yearly subscription, what happens to the videos on my site if my subscription ever lapses?

Please Help. I’m storing files at careerwebinars.wordpress.com. Installed the VideoPress plugin at lucrativecareersinc.com, a www.remarpro.com site, and everything worked fine – one time. ]]>Hi, I’ve tried numerous code to center align my embeded wpvideo code.
It always aligns to the left. I’ve tried the div style text align = center but it didn’t work.
An alternative would be to have the video stay left aligned but to be able to put text to the right of the video.
Here’s the site if you want to see the code – it’s on the front page of https://www.debisvideovault.com
Has anyone centered their videopress on their self-hosted wordpress sites successfully ?
thanks!
How to disable the title over the first frame?
]]>Videopress: Sharingoptionen lassen sich nicht deaktivieren
Ich habe ein selbstgehostetes WP Blog, auf dem VIDEOPRESS arbeiten soll.
So weit so gut. Die Wiedergabe vom VIDEOPRESS SERVER via Plugin funktioniert einwandfrei, ebenso der Upload von Videos auf den Server.

VideoPress Error
meinedomain.de is not an allowed embed site.
Publisher limits playback of video embeds.
ich suche schon seit Stunden nach einer L?sung,

Video Press: Sharing options can not be deactivated
I have a WP.ORG Blog and it should work on the VIDEO PRESS via Plugin.
So far so good. Playback of VIDEO PRESS Server via the plugin works fine, and so does the video upload to the server.
However, as soon as I disable the sharing options screen of the video the video player disappears and it appears instead the following error message:
Video compression error
meinedomain.de is not allowed to embed site.
Publisher limits playback of video embeds.
I’ve been searching for hours for a solution
have also read several instructions of VP
and followed all, now I’m at my wits end.
I am grateful for every tip. Thank U

]]>Hi, I just created a hidden wordpress.com blog and am planning on using this plugin, but I just want to confirm that the plugin works for my site before I make the $60/yr purchase. I’m currently using the wordpress theme Elegantica, is it possible that the plugin wouldn’t work?
Thank you.
]]>We have a self hosted site , using WordPress.
We just purchased the VideoPress upgrade.
During setup, I did supply the url for our self hosted wp site.
Of course, as instructed I setup the wordpress blog account too.
I understand the videos are actually stored on the wp blog account at wordpress.com.
I assumed when supplying the URL for our self hosted wp site, it would cause an association and I could embed the videos on the self hosted site, that are stored on the wordpress.com blog.
BUT>>>>>
If seems one needs to keeps the privacy settings to public for it to work. Once the video attributes are set to keep it from being shared, than it no longer plays on our self hosted site.
Is this normal , or have I done something wrong during the setup and association of our self hosted site with the videopress upgrade ?
TIA !
]]>We have also submitted this to wordpress.com support:
WP 3.4.2
VideoPress 1.5.4
The VideoPress login screen is not appearing when clicking on the Upload/Insert VideoPress button when using the VideoPress plugin for self hosted blogs. If we login to wordpress.com first, then go back to the self hosted site, everything works.
We use VideoPress on https://accesslocal.tv to host member content, Friday is our busiest day, thanks for your help!
