I needed a way to easily generate thumbnails. iOs Safari browsers do not render WordPress video thumbnails out of the box. It has something to do with not parsing the first frame or something. So I needed something that can generate an image from a second different from 0.
This plug in saves me a lot of time by simply generating an aleatory thumbnail in one click.
Of course, it has many more features, but just for that one it deserves 5 stars from me.

Makes it so easy to embed videos with the exact settings you want. I had an issue with autoplay but discovered in one of the support threads that it needed to be mute=”true” and then it worked. Perfect.

I love how it just works, no issues, and it’s like I don’t even notice it after a while. I use Digital Ocean Spaces for inexpensive storage, and may start pointing all my WordPress sites to it!
I may even start optimizing client sites using this and saving tons of storage space on all my VPS and Google Cloud instances, too.
