You may have experienced a temporary loss of language translations with the Verse of the Day Widget for WP earlier today or yesterday, depending on your time zone.

This issue occurred because the widget relies on OpenAI’s ChatGPT gpt-4o-mini model, which was experiencing some technical difficulties. The outage lasted for several hours.

I’m happy to report that the widget is now back up and running smoothly. According to the OpenAI status page, all systems, including the API, are operational.

As part of the latest release (v7.3.05), we’ve added a YouTube demo video to help you better understand the widget’s features.

Bug Fix: Language translations were not functioning as expected. The issue has been resolved.

Bug Fix – CORS_ALLOW_ALL_ORIGINS wasn’t set to True so the Verse of the Day Widget for WP wasn’t working for all WordPress sites except those that were specified in the CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINS.

Hi there! I found your plugin and really like the concept. I was wondering if you’d consider using the same images from the bible.com webpage dayly verse from YouVersion/LifeChurch? They don’t provide resources for WordPress, but I think their images would enhance the display of your plugin. I hope this helps you develop an even better tool. I look forward to using it! BLESSINGS
