Is this plugin abandoned or will it soon be updated to the current WordPress versions?
Would be a bit tragic to see it soon announcing itself to be abandoned – I would miss it.
Nothing is happening on the plugins page. I’ve used this plugin in the past with success, and kept it installed and disabled. I updated and re-enabled it and nothing is being checked after 10 minutes. I haven’t disabled WP cron.

Does your plugin also show a warning notice when a plugin is removed from the WP repo? From my understanding this is the most severe security risk, even more than an old outdated plugin. And it should be shown once on every page of the WP dashboard, not only at the plugin page.
