You can use this plugin to create one or many slideshows to feature on any given page. It’s easy to add multiple pictures at once. The plugin blends into WordPress well. The shortcodes are easy to generate and everything works as intended. Great plugin for full page background slideshows.

You can create easily a Slider and insert a Shortcode with its ID in a Page or Post.

I would like it even more if there would be a possibility to get a PHP code for inserting in a template.

You can work around by copying the resulting JS sourcecode from a page into the template. But that is annoying if you want to change the template slider.

I used a “Standard Slider” in the template and a per page slider for all pages I would like to have a different slider than the “Standard Slider”. Looks like these two Sliders are working on one page although you can see sometimes the first image form the “Standard Slider” for a short time.

Perhaps it would be possible to code something for marking a Slider as “Global” and displaying this slider on all pages which do not have a shortcode in it?

Hi, thanks for the plugin! I’m building my first WP site and not sure how to implement this plugin. I activated it, created a slide show (well 1 image that I want to be the full screen background), published it but it doesn’t show. I copied the shortcode and inserted it in the “Theme options” in the header and the footer areas, when I refreshed the site I could only see the code on top and on the bottom, but no image. I’m sorry for my ignorance but I couldn’t find any other help on this, so maybe you could help this newb and tell me exactly how to make this plugin work?

A breath of fresh air. Concise and efficient. no bloat.

It’s there on the menu bar. Easy to add images, then drag and drop to order them. A Shortcode is generated for you to put where you like. Bang.. done.. have as many as you like.

Just found out about the Vegas bg script and figured I’d see if there was a plugin to make using it with WordPress easy. Found this a few minutes later, installed it and customized it and LOVE IT! Works as advertised and really has improved the look of my site. Had a feature request and author was very quick to respond. Very happy!

This is the best fullscreen background slider around. In comparison to some other sliders available, it just does what you expect from it. Simple and straight forward. Only the documentation could be a little better.

An extra thumbs up goes to James for his incredible support. Helped me to get my little issues with the plugin sorted in one day.

I would be very happy with an “auto stop/ no repeat” so that the last img remains like a poster. Now my site never stops loading.

I am quite new to php and .js but does anybody know an hack or a tip?

I had issues getting the plugin to work but they were because of the theme and not the plugin – may be worth noting that I had custom templates that used query_posts();, and those templates wouldn’t display the background. Once that was taken out, though, it worked great!

This plugin rules and James gives great support.

This plugin is really thin on documentation and UI so it’s not friendly for casual WordPress users, but for front end developers like myself, this is an extraordinary tool. It’s not for everybody, because full size, high-quality images add a lot in terms of loading and not everybody has good, high-resolution images to use. I think it’s great for artistic types and portfolio websites.

I ran into a bug where nothing was displayed, but… I just reuploaded my images and it worked fine. Great job, James.

I had been looking for a full background/slider/transition plug-in for a while and this fit the bill very well and works perfectly.

The support is also very good indeed with this plug-in as the author has gone the extra mile to help me get the plug-in working on both of the sites I wanted it on.
