I can’t find options for setting slide animation. Without this plugin has no sense, because it becomes just fullpage slider without “vegas” effect.

I am using the WP Vegas plug in on one of the pages on my website (https://www.miguelsalazar.co/photography/) and so far it’s working very well, but the only problem is that there is a thin white line cutting through my pictures right above where the page title would have been. I coded out the page title on the CSS customizer, but the white line remains. Is there a way that I can code to bring the slideshow to the forefront of the page (without having it go over the header)?

I’m using the 2 year old version on one website and it still seems to work great with 4.7.

Understandably life gets busy but this plugin would be worth updating to ensure compatibility and security and give it a fresher date (anything over a year old is automatically suspect, 2+ years is really pushing it).

There are a couple of newer background slider plugins out there but they are not as battle-tested yet as WP Vegas, and as a site developer I’d rather not be the guinea pig or lab rat for a new plugin. On the other hand I do want the plugins I use to be keeping up with the latest technology and WordPress changes, as well as security concerns.

Bloat is a concern – a lightweight plugin that does one thing and does it well is often to be preferred to a do-all plugin with lots of resource-intensive features and options.

Issuing a premium version might help justify keeping the code current. Not sure what to suggest but maybe if the free version handled still shots and the premium added video, lazy-load, and caching support, or something.

If the repository plugin is still solid as is, an update to bump the date would probably increase downloads and installations.

I’ll start off with the fact this plugin does everything it says it should. Thanks a lot.

I was wondering if it’s possible to get video with this plugin.

I tried dropping in the newest version as jquery.vegas.js in the JS folder but it broke.

I am able to edit the plugin shortcodegenerator.js in order to input the correct code, but the Vegas version is an earlier version when video wasn’t supported.

Any insight into this possibility? Thanks so much!

what i would like to do though is to incorporate it as a required plugin into the theme and put it in the repository. however i cant seem to do this with PHP. obviously you will be credited as the creator.

do you feel this is worth pursuing?

the theme itself is something of a bootstrap design but incorporates some nice functions. I am not totally finished with it yet, there are some things I want to alter. but the general layout and features are there. what is cool is that there are 2 content areas, but these are hard coded- a separate plugin is not needed for this. works great. also the logo is an image fallback system, uses logo if no featured image set, and so on.

Hi! First, thanks for the great plugin. Love it! I’ve been using it for a while and it’s been working great. However, recently I tried adding a new slide to slideshow and I wanted it to be the first slide, but the old first slide continues to show first. You’ll see when you look at the site: https://cugnoarchitecture.com/ – the first slide shows again in the 3rd place. It’s not supposed to be first. The second slide is supposed to be first and the 3rd slide is supposed to be 2nd. Maybe I’m forgetting some setting? I’ve cleared all the caches and I can’t get it to work correctly. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks so much for your help!

Is it normal that the slideshow stops after playing once?

I would have thought it was an infinite loop by default.

I looked at the Vegas site – Are you just passing through parameters or do you intercept/vet/pass-on the parameters? I’m hoping I can use the extensive documentation from the vegas site and just apply them to your plugin’s shortcode parameters.

By the way the overlay parameter is not working and you haven’t included the png files for the overlay parameter. – my version is Version 2.2

I would like the whole of the image to scroll and be seen then directly afterwards have the footer area. Any help would be greatly appreciated

First I want to thank for a great plugin.

My problem is that I’m using WP Vegas plugin to add background images and I don’t know how to do it with the page builder.
To add a background image I need to add a shortcode like this example [vegas id=XXXX fade=3000 delay=8000 arrows=yes autoplay=yes poster=no random=no] to the page.

But using page builder I don’t see how can I do it, can you help me please. You can see it here

if you zoom in on the website, wait for change of picture/graphic hue, zoom out. The new picture appears in the top left corner of the screen. See video.

Hello! I have loved your plugin and it’s worked great for me until recently. All of a sudden the images aren’t fully loading – parts of them are blocked off in white. This happens on my iMac, using safari but it works fine on firefox. It also works fine on microsoft windows.

I am completely updated on wordpress, your newest version, safari, java, etc. Any idea what I can do to fix this?

I’m using the Lensa theme with Wp Vegas for the background images.

The Lensa plugin has an option to hide the content.
But when I click it the arrows of the Wp vegas disappear to. Can you please tell me how to have the arrows always available?

The other thing that I wanted to know is if there is a default size for the images.

I have to questions and maybe you can help me out.

1. Is there any possibility to check if the browser is in landscape or portrait mode? If I check the page on an iPad the images are cropped in the different mode. Is there any possibility to avoid this?

2. When I want to use the plugin but I have a menu at the top of the page, is there any possibility to show the menue and to show the full image? Now the picture is cropped at the top because the menue is in an overlay-mode. Hopefully you understand what I mean. Otherwise check the page out: https://peterkupfer.de/start/
