I’ve not worked out why yet – but if the table upgrade to v2.13 fails, you can fix it by taking these steps:

1. Log into your site admin using the URL: https://yoursite.com/wp-admin
2. Fix the page links from the settings->character options page
3. Log onto your webhost phpmyadmin (or however you access the database) and update the PLAYERS table so that “N” is filled into all rows. If you don’t know how to do this then your webhost support can (hopefully) help

On fresh install all the vtm databases are empty except attributes.

I have discovered an issue whereby nothing happens when a player tries to spend experience.

It happens on sites using PHP v5.4 or greater and where there are alot of things for people to buy. In plugin version 2.5 (current) or earlier, you have to fix this by increasing the ‘max_input_vars’ PHP setting in your php.ini or .htaccess file.

The next version of the plugin will give you an error message if you are going to have this problem and it will be properly fixed in the version after that (as I have to re-write big chunks of the XP spend code).

First of all, thanks for all the work you’ve done with this plugin! I’m running into an issue and wonder if it’s just me and there’s something that can be done do resolve it or if I’m seeing a known issue.

I’m running the latest version of the plugin (version 2.5). As both an admin and a player I experience this:

1. View a character’s profile
2. Upload an image for the character’s portrait. No errors are shown post upload.
3. Get the confirmation message “Changed profile image location”.

The page however shows a broken image link. I exported the database afterwards and navigated to the URL listed and I do see the image that was uploaded.

Could this be adapted to other RPGs?
