]]>Hello, I tried exporting and importing my editor role but on any attempt, it appears to not work.
I exported the editor role from one site. Went to import that file (untouched) into a new site and am seeing this error.
]]>Hi,
I want to hire a freelancer to make some changes inside my articles which contain affiliate links. The risk is the person could also unknowingly to me swap affiliate links with others of his own.
So I want to create a user-role where the user can edit a blog post (basically I will ask him to swap images and change buttons) and be unable to change links.
Can this be done with your plugin, and if not do you have suggestions?
]]>Viewing a user’s Roles, the Save button is missing. Changes are not saved. It is not like the screenshot I saw from your plugin page.
]]>Hello there,
I am looking for a R&C plugin to move to from PublishPress, as that plugin does not allow control over the “WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, Delivery Notes & Shipping Labels”.
Would you guys support the seven buttons of that plugin in the “Print actions” section on the right on each order page?
If so, how could I easily migrate from PublishPress? I only have one new role defined, “Order Manager” who should only have access to the Orders in my WooCommerce.
Thanks
Jay
Hi,
I cannot find an option to limit access to the Templates option. Any chance to add this feature? Or if I didn’t look properly, any chance to tell me where to find it? ??
Thanks!
Hi,
For contributors, I want to set minimal rights. This includes disable view of the dashboard. However, when I disable the dashboard, two unwanted things happen:
– the user cannot access /wp-admin/ anymore (meaning no easy access really to anything)
– if you were already in the admin menu, you cannot create new posts anymore.
Any chance to fix please? ??
Thanks!
Hello,
Is it possible to use your plugin to restrict access to only one specific plugin: Meaning allowing a user to access only one plugin, but no others?
Regards,
Jack
Hello –
This plugin is conflicting with another and we’re trying to set all User Roles to their “defaults” – but even after deactivating and deleting this plugin, there are still settings from this plugin in the database which may be causing the conflict. However, we won’t know unless we can set everything back to default.
Need a way to set all roles back to default capabilities and remove database entries left behind from this plugin.
Thanks.
]]>I have used these plugin and have added new roles named writer and also give him permission. Permission is working for that user but after it is not redirecting to dashboard. it is redirecting to the website home page. and redirecting is working for admin, editor and author.
I have also update WordPress may be that’s the reason for it.It was working before updating.
Please help me on it.
Thanks
Hello –
Is this plugin dead and no longer maintained?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
I’d like to let my Shop Manager users also be able to promote users into different roles, like from subscriber to customer, but I’m unable to get this to work. If I select all 6 user permissions and add them to Shop Manager, they can see the users, but trying to view one that is just a subscriber, bumps them out of the dashboard entirely and back to the site. Users that are already customers can be viewed, but the only option to change their role is ‘no role’. Am I missing something? Do they need other permissions, not in Users? Please let me know. Thank you
]]>Hello,
Two question please:
1. does it support multisite please?
2. Anyway to set allow user register multiple roles ?

]]>Is it possible to allow a new user role (for example, based on Editor) to be able to add/edit users EXCEPT Administrators?
I created a new role and and allowed it to create and edit users – I have Promote Users unchecked – but the new role can change users to Administrator.
I would like to restrict it so that they can only add users up to Editor.
Many thanks
]]>Dear Sir/madam,
In your plugin I cannot disable the product categories or product tags.. When i press save the checks will be there again.
Can you please help me?

Can’t seem to edit admin roles. And WPML is not listed – because apparently the ADMIN doesn’t have permissions? This is really messed up. Admin doesn’t have permissions to WPML, but can’t add permissions because WPML isn’t listed in roles…locked out of my own sites functionality as a result.
]]>Hi:
Nice plugin.
Don’t you think we need the option to control “create posts” and “create pages” in the user role permission option?
The other user role capability plugins offer these features.
What do you think? Could this be added to the next version release?
Thanks!
Hi,
I tried changing the display name of a user role. Plugin is allowing to make the change, and is also displaying the changed role name in the “roles & capabilities table”, but when I refresh the page, it displays old role name itself.
]]>I set up “Contributor” as follows:
Selected
edit_pages
upload_files
Everything else was not selected including publish_pages.
I created a new user as a “Contributor” and made him owner of one published page.
I then logged out as Admin and logged in as the “Contributor.” There were two problems.
1) I was only able to “View” the page I owned but I was not offered the option to edit it
2) I was offered the option to “Add Page” which should not have been offered.
Please check this and see if you get the same results.
I like the design of this plugin very much but I can’t use it unless these problems are corrected.
Thank you

]]>it is possible to set permission on custom post type add/edit/delete/view in admin.

]]>Hey guys; first, a quick thank you for this beautiful plugin.
??
One little detail would make it shine even more, if I may say?
The filtering feature is very helpful; yet it would be truly awesome if entering a phrase into the filterbox would not just highlight the matching terms in green, but really filter them i.e. _only_ show the matching rows and .hide. the not-matching ones away for as long as the list has a filter on it.
Do you think that would be possible?
Thank you very much in advance.
Cheers – LX

]]>It is not possible to delete roles!
We checked double if any user (only 6 Persons) use one the roles that we create, but it doesn’t. Nevertheless is it not possible do delete the roles. Than we delete every user except the admin. But also it is not possible to delete any created role.
Pleas help us with the problem! We don’t understand why it don’t works and we are definitely no wordpress beginners. Thanks
]]>Hi,
I’m integrating my plugin (View Admin As) into all kinds of capability manager plugins and noticed you don’t have any hooks that I can use to add capabilities and capability groups to your plugin like Members and User Role Editor allow.
One very commonly used filter to get all available capabilities is the one from Members (members_get_capabilities
). This could get your plugin compatible with a lot of other plugins at once.
Let me know if you would like to support this! (Is there a github rep where I can provide a pull request?)
Regards, Jory
