Hello, can a different message be displayed in each rule that is created?
]]>I have this setup to work with a Gravity Form that creates a post. While it is working correctly to not create another post on the back-end when it’s past the limit, I am not seeing an on-screen message about being past the limit. On the front-end, it appears to the user like it is submitting as usual. I’ve tried all 3 display methods (embed, fullscreen, and redirect). I also don’t know where the redirect would be configured if choosing that option.
]]>Hello. I’m using this plugin to limit the number of media files a user can upload. On the frontend looks like it’s all working correctly; however, files are still being uploaded to the server.
For example, I have it set to where a Contributor can upload only 1 file to the media library. If they try uploading additional files, they don’t upload (as far as the user can see), but on the server, the files are actually being uploaded.
Any suggestions?
]]>I have tried it in 2 clean multisite wordpress installations but I can’t get it to work, in the subsites they continue to appear as unlimited, I already changed the role to author and nothing, it doesn’t work. Thank you
]]>How do I use this to limit posts created with WP User Frontend?
]]>Hi! First of all, the plugin works great, so thank you for making it.
I have some rather special needs for my website, so I wonder if is possible to add a limit for published pages but allow to create drafts.
For example, an author can create two pages but only publish one page at a time. If they try to publish both at the same time they receive the usual error message of their quota being exceeded.
Any insight on how could I achieve something like this?
Thanks beforehand.
]]>Hi, just wondering if there is a way to change the [upl_limits] post name on the front end. Currently says Posts. x/x would like it to have a custom name instead (Gallery x/x) is this possible?
]]>hi,
I limited a post and as a user, I tried to pass the limit.
I did not receive the message that I had placed, such as “Your limit is over”, but an error message appears, according to the link
How do I fix this error?
]]>Hi team, We are using your plugin. Thanks a lot for the plugin. We have a requirement. We want to show the post limit for each user role by passing user role as argument. Is there any way to show it? Because, there is a page in our website which lists all user roles and their post limit.
Expecting your support. Thank you
Thank you
]]>Hi,
I want my users to be able to purchase the ability to post. Every new user starts with 0/0 post limit. So i’ve set up the post limits for the user role “customer” to 0.
How do i update user post limits from a WooCommerce sale. So when User_A has a post limit of 0/0 and orders for example a quantity of 2 “add post product” , his post limit should go from 0/0 to 0/2. If his post limits where at 5/10 his limits should update to 5/12 etc…
I this possible trough WooCommerce or is there another plugin that would help me build this use case.
]]>Hi
I am working on a membership site and I have to setup 3 months cycle for a user so he can post a blog after every 3 months.
Can you please let me know how is this possible.
Hi! I am working on a membership website where the users can post 5 times in a 5 month period. How it is possible to add custom cycles? For now the plugin supports only some predefined periods (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) Somehow it is possible to use custom cycles? Thank you!
BTW your plugin is really unique and simple. I like it.
]]>Hello, I use Woocommerce Custom Product Addons (Acowebs) to add options to products and that can be chosen on the product page before adding it to the cart, is it possible to create some limitation with the custom options of a product? For example: the customer can buy a product with a specific option x number of times in the day and if limit is exceeded, they must wait until the next day to buy it with that personalized option or choose another that is available for that same product .
Thanks.
]]>Hello,
I want to exclude posts in the Trash from being counted,is that possible?
]]>I posted using the translation function. I’m sorry if it doesn’t get through well.
I have two questions.
(1) When I tested it myself, it seems that articles saved as “drafts” before using this plugin can be published regardless of the posting limit after using the plugin. Is this recognition?
(2) For example, suppose you limit one article per week.
If I post one article and delete it completely after 3 days, will the article count be reset and can I repost immediately? Or is there a time limit for completely deleting and then reposting (for example, you can repost within an hour of complete deletion ..)?
That is all for the question.
We look forward to your reply.
Thank you.
Hello,
This plugin is amazing! Though it would be great if we could also limit post creation based on taxonomy. For instance, a user can create three posts per month that have the post type ‘post’ with the taxonomy ‘category’ having the value of ‘press-release’, while being able to create 12 posts per month of custom post type ‘video’ with the custom taxonomy ‘genre’ having the value of ‘media-statement’ … you get the drift.
Also, can it be used to limit media file uploads?
]]>I’m using the plugin, thank you.
For example, set with the following contents.
`User Posts Limit 設定
Rules:1
text:本日の投稿制限を超えました (「完全に削除する」で本日分が再投稿可能です)
Notifications:フルスクリーン
優先順位:Permissive
Plugin Management Capability:manage_options
Document Statistics:checked
#1
権限グループ:有料プラン教室ブログユーザー
タイプ:投稿(post)
Limit:1
Cycle:日(day)
I have two questions.
(1)Is “cycle = 1 day” 24 hours from the time you posted today? Or is it a day by date?
(2)What if the cycle is “1 week”?
Is it “one week from the first post” or “one week by date (for example, Monday to Sunday)?”
I made a sentence using the translation function. Please reply if there are any parts that are difficult to understand.
Thank you.
]]>Hi there ???
First of all thank you for this very useful plugin!
I have a multisite installation and I have the feeling that the settings made on the network are not applied on each site.
For example, I did a simulation to limit authors to 20 posts, but when I log into an author account, the limit remains “unlimited”, did I miss something?

Thank you for your help!
Hi,
Is there a shortcode to display User Post Limit notification anywhere? It’d be really helpful. Thank you.
Kind regards,
]]>Hi,
I am using Restrict Content Pro (RCP) to manage customer subscriptions and intend to use User Posts Limit to manage CPT creation limits. Based on my understanding, this should work fine.
However, when a RCP subscription is not renewed, I want to make CPT status (i) from published to unpublished (draft) or (ii), change the owner / author to admin – that way customer cannot edit the post upon next login, or (iii) best case – move the CPT to trash after (say) 30 days. Is it possible using UPL or could you please consider an add-on to Restrict Content Pro?
Kind regards,
]]>Hi,
I need the ability to limit the total number products, or any post type really, not by role but just a total count.
My use case right now is someone on my “Basic” plan can take 250 WooCommerce “Orders” per month. I don’t want to assign this to a user but instead limit it regardless of the role of a user. So this needs to work for Guest orders as well as Customers who are logged in when ordering.
Can this be added or done with the current plugin?
]]>Hello,
Thank you for this wonderful plugin. I don’t have to use frontend form to limit users submitting their post. However, I want to reset the post limit by date not by day. What I mean is the post limit will reset every 12AM. Is it possible? Thank you.
]]>Hi,
I am trying to implement this with for CPT. Currently users are posting via a ACF extended frontend form.
I can’t seem to get it to work, any ideas to resolve please?
]]>Please let me know how I can contact you for private work? You website is not working for me. Thank you
]]>Hi and thanks for a great plugin.
I am using the Classified Listing plugin which has it’s own post type (rtcl_listing) but it also has Ad Types, which are kind of like Categories but are a separate thing that sit above categories when people are filling out the post form in the front end; would it be possible to limit posts in these, either using code or an edit to the plugin?
My set up is as follows – I have two created user roles, Business and Individual, which I have set different weekly limits on for Classified Listings, and I have 3 Ad Types, one of which I want to limit to only 1 post for Business and 0 posts for Individual, while the other existing limits I want to remain. If that is possible within your plugin as it stands, great, but I haven’t found a way to do it so far.
The problem I am having is that the shortcode [upl_limits format=”you have {left} left. “] does not show anything on the front end for Admin users (works perfectly for all other users): its a minor thing but is this a known bug or conflict? The admins have roles other than admin by the way (as listed above). I have tried both permissive and restrictive settings to see if that was the cause, and when I turned Document Statistics on the Admin users have blank entries, while other users have the correct numbers shown for their roles. Any help greatly appreciated.
]]>Hi! Plugin is great, but I need to know how to translate the alert message when a user exceeds post limit (“There has been an error. Form has been submitted successfully, but…”)
I use Loco Translate in my site, but I did not find that for translating.
Many thanks for your help
Hi there,
Is it possible to increase a post limit set on a product purchase, as opposed to resetting the limit?
Ie. default limit set to 1.
When certain product is purchase {
increase limit by 1.
}
This would be a huge fix to my current scenario,
Thanks so much!

]]>suggested feature: User Posts visibility Limit
A user can see only X number of posts in certain time.e.g I want user can’t read more than 100 articles in a month
Hello Condless,
I’m currently facing a very strange problem. all my website users can only post 1 post now no matter the rule role or the rule limit. On the back end users tab it tells me that the users didn’t exceed their limit, but when they write a post, it tells them ‘post limit exceeded’. to make sure the issue was coming from the plugin I deactivated it. I then tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin, but it didn’t work. can you please help me.
Thanks a lot
