I want to format the shortcode text that the plugin gives as an output.

E.g:

[userinfo field=”last_name”]{{empty}}[/userinfo] would give “lastname”, but I would like it to be “Lastname” or “LASTNAME” or any other formate…

I have tried “txtfmt=ucwords” and “txtfmt=strtoupper” but witn no luck: [userinfo field=”first_name” txtfmt=”strtoupper”]{{empty}}[/userinfo] nor [userinfo field=”first_name” txtfmt=strtoupper]{{empty}}[/userinfo]

Any ideas?

I want to change the registration Form, only allow numeric form and letters.

I want to display the currently logged in user’s after a word…if not logged in, display something else. It looks like with the {{empty}} the base functionality is there…just don’t know if your plugin takes it to the next level.

So basically… I want a line to state “Welcome Guest” if they aren’t logged in. If logged in, “Welcome Kahil”.

Hello,
I love the plugin and it works great.
However, I am not sure how I can determine the correct fieldname to call via the shortcode. I have first_name working fine, but when I enter “website” I get nothing; “url” returns “array”; and when I try various permutations of my extra fields added via plugin, I just keep getting “array”.
How do I find the correct fieldname?

I really like that little plug in. Now I was trying to place a short code with an “if” and inside of that another short code gettign user meta. That broke the code. Can you help?

He ythere, this is a nice Plug In. For me it is a little difficult to find out what field names to use to get the data. I have a Plug In to add User Roles. I would now like to display the role name or id of the user. Is this possible? The [userinfo field=”user_level”] is empty.

This works great!. BUT if I go to VISUAL editor it removes the custom fields…..and breaks the shortcode. Should I just not go to visual more OR is there a fix for this?

This is working fine, I however would like entered listings to be view able only by the user who have added the listing. Right now all users can view all listings – any way to do this?

I need very similar functionality to your UserMetaShortcodes plugin.
Unless you can do this for me rapidly… I will see if my programmer can either modify your plugin or make something similar.

I want to send people to my site using this format
https://www.mydomain.com/pagename/membername OR https://www.mydomain.com/pagename/?membername
and then have your plugin display
https://www.mydomain.com/pagename
calling the meta data of the membername included in the URL.

The potential for this is enormous.
Each page can then be customized with all the appropriate data of each member just by them adding their username to the end of the URL.
For instance each member could have a field for their clickbankID and then send visitors to the page and have their own clickbank affiliate link automatically inserted by the shortcodes!
(Obviously I would not display private information using the shortcodes).

Is there any chance you would do this

?
Or that you could advise or help if I am paying a developer to do this?
Any comments on how difficult you would think it would be?

How can I use a shortcode with an href link so that it links to a specific page for each user?

I’ve set up a custom meta entitled user_page and my shortcode is thus [authorinfo field=”user_page”]. I want users to be able to click this link on their account page and be taken to an individual product page on my site using the url I’ve added to their profile. However, I’m struggling to link it up and make it clickable.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Question 1. I want to utilize the short code to produce a hyperlink to an author’s URL please can you give a code EXAMPLE of how I use [authorinfo nospan=”true”] in combination with [authorinfo field=”url”] to produce this.

Question 2. Is there a shortcode for users’ avatars (I am currently using the ‘user avatar’ plugin) – if this is not possible in conjunction with the aforementioned plugin perhaps it works with the ‘user photo’ plugin?
