]]>I tried out some stuff with version 2. As far as I can tell, emails are only sent when then admin provides feedbackk.
Thought everything was working smoothly, customized some texts and stuff. But I found out now that if another user provides feedback, no emails are sent. Not to me/admin and not to the user.
I do like the new flow, but I don’t want an email sent to the user. Couldn’t really figure out how to customize that.
But long story short: it doesn’t work…

I found your plugin and looked like a great option.
However, on https://mealprep.hostingmidland.com/ the site I have it installed on, the “feedback” button is behind most of the design elements.
If you scroll down, you can sometimes see it. However, if you head to the login page https://mealprep.hostingmidland.com/login/ it shows just fine and works without issue.
Any advice?

]]>this plugin is great, it’s just really sad screenshots are stored in the wp-admin folder. this causes big problems.
The right thing to do would be to store them in the wp-content/uploads/ folder. Your plugin should create a folder for himself (wp-content/uploads/user-screenshot/).
I actually modified your plugin in order to do that and I highly advice you to change this ASAP and I noticed a “@todo Revisit file handling.” in your AjaxHandler code.

I tried the development version and really liked the way the plugin works. I see you have plans to extend it to gather feedback as a custom post type in the WordPress admin.
I’m trying to make it work with a support ticket solution like Catchers, since it would make it possible to log and reply to feedback inside WordPress. Catchers also lets you have an external email flow that the plugin can fetch and log inside WordPress, making it useful for logging issues and having several different agents responding to issues.
I have a problem with this flow though. I need the From email address to be the users’ and not the site’s email address, so that one can make a direct reply to the email, not having to edit the To name and address, like we have now.
Is it possible to change the From email address to be the user’s email address?

Because the screenshot taking was not working well for me (maybe because of my theme some CSS elements came up distorted on the picture), I downloaded and tested version 2. However there is a bug: after sending the feedback, it shows an error saying that was a problem sending the message BUT my developer does receive the email.

I was trying to get anonymous user feedback to work by adding
add_filter( ‘load_user_feedback’, ‘__return_true’ );
to my child-theme functions.php but it does not seem to change behaviour of the plugin (feedback tab doesnt show up unless logged in).
Any idea what I could be missing? Did you do a new version with a settings page?
]]>After installing the plugin, the feedback button appeared on my site. I seem to be able to enter feedback, but I’m not receiving an e-mail? I’ve tried it with my admin account and with a test account (member).
I’m afraid it might have something to do with the original admin I deleted. Someone else got my domain and host. I was later added as administrator. I wasn’t getting the feedback e-mails so I deleted his account. Tried it again, but still nog getting anything.
So who is supposed to get the e-mail? The original admin? The one with username ‘Admin’? What setting decides this?

filter can be used to modify the copy. I looked through the code for version 1.1.1 and found no mention on it.
The closest thing I found was the user_feedback_support_data
filter but that doesn’t seem to do anything useful.

]]>I would like to translate the plugin, as my users don’t speak english.
But the translation won’t show up.
I tried everything – Loco Translate, Poedit, debugging, deactivating plugins, deactivating/activating User Feedback, checking the language settings in the backend, switching themes, deactivating functions. Nothing works.
The files are in the right place, they are valid, all strings are translated everything looks fine.
But the box on the frontend is still in english.
It’s a fresh and clean install of 4.3.1
