This plugin has made 3 plugins superfluous for me. It can create and restrict new backend user roles. It can also hide menu items individually etc. Great work!

Easy to use. Restrict some categories went smooth. For me, it replaced PublishPress Capabilities.

Hello,
This is a great plugin for WordPress. I am very curious if this plugin is still supported.
I mean is the developer(s) still active?
Because is it posible to set the inlog widget to dutch, and is it possible
When user A logs in he sees menu A and when user B logs in he sees menu B.

We are using this great plugin in a learning enviroment, it is great to have the control over users in the six-years we are using this plugin never had any problem.

With new update they demand to have at least php 7.3 and then the site crashes. Why not just approve to use the plugin with 7.2 as well, not that big difference

Worked well with WordPress up to 5.4.x and Divi 4.3.x, but crashes the entire backend with WordPress 5.5.x and newer Divi versions (4.5.x).
Sad to say it looks like the plugin is no longer maintained properly …

I an using this plugin for an association’s site where all users have to be logged(Force login plugin)
I don’t know how could have I done without this plugin. And it seems that I am not the only one in this situation !
Lots of posts and pages have to be filtered according to the user group which is mandatory.
Thanks a lot Alex and PLEASE maintain it with new WordPress releases.

Thank you for this good plugin that may block efficiently certain contents for free.
I use this plugin to protect certain categories of pages and posts with WorPress 5.2.2 and the plugin works fine.
But I want to do this : some users in uam group A can write in category A (with WP editor role for collaboration) and cat. A is visible only for group A (this first part is ok), and also these users can only read category B with uam group B.
If on group B I define Read for group B and Write for nobody then Editor members (who belong to groups A and B) can not only access (it is ok) BUT ALSO modify pages of category B…
The problem seems to be Editor role : it is OK with author role (but no possible collaboration inside posts).
In two words I want some users can create and modify ALL posts in one category (like editors), and also only read all posts of an other category (readers only).
I am not a specialist of WordPress : did I miss something, or could you give me the way.
Thank you.

I’ve tried many Plug-Ins for access control. This one was the best!
Main benefit in this plug-in is, that you can also lock media. In most other Plug-Ins you can only lock pages and posts but some images are open anyway.
It would be nice, if you could also administrate UAM by using a rest-api. But anyway this is no reason for downvote.

Great Tool to create and manage User Groups. Works fine for me since a long time.
Then I needed to Redirect not logged in users to the login page. I’ve tried out several things which didn’t work very well. And then … with 1 click in this tool … everything was done.
Thank you for that great tool!

Doesn’t work if you use Elementor. Private pages are visible to all users.
Plugin has not been updated in 3 months and dev has not responded to support requests on Github or www.remarpro.com support forum in over a month. Plugin seems abandoned.

Hi alex would you be able to assist me with some issues I amhaving with the plugin?

This plug-in is easy to set-up and use to hide content except for the groups you assign.

I needed to create a member site, with 3 different kind of members (2 in-company members, and 1 ex-company member), and a public part as well. The 3 member types should have access to their own pages, blog posts, menu items, etc. And everything that is not accessible should be hidden. This plugin does that job really, really well!!!
I’ve been struggling with Members plugin (with Nav Menu Roles plugin) for ages, and eventually it kind of works too, but for all blog post the titles are always visible; a restriction messages only appears when a user clicks at the title link of the post. That’s kind of frustrating…
User Access Manager simply hides everything that has a restriction, which is just fab!!! Even when paging through my blog posts by using the next & previous buttons of my theme, only the titles and links appear of posts that are accessible – filtered by the permissions of the logged in user.
Wow, how cool is that?!? ??
UPDATE
======
It even works with events, published through EventON (event calendar)
UPDATE
======
It even works with my theme’s live search option
So, I created 3 blog posts: 1 for membertypeA, 1 for membertypeB and 1 for membertypeC. In the first one, I pasted the word ‘membertypeAonly’. In the second one I pasted the word ‘membertypeBonly’. And in the third one I pasted the word ‘membertypeConly’. Then I logged in as membertypeA, and guess what? By using the live search option of my theme (Enfold), I could find the first post by searching for ‘membertypeAonly’ and could not find the second and third post by searching for ‘membertypeBonly’ and ‘membertypeConly’. The other way around it works exactly the same. Wow, I’m really impressed!!!

Very good content control. Very easy to setup and use. Worked very well with ADFS single sign on. Will be replacing some other plugins with this one.
One very minor item, would like to be able to not show Group at bottom left of page. I can hide through css but do not best way.

Installed on latest WordPress. Made one simple rule to block /shop/ by setting access ONLY to “customers” role. Despite that, any visitor can access the page. Useful documentation is non-existent.

I think it’s one of the great plugins I’ve used, but it slow down my web site.
If I turn off the plug-in, the site returns to be faster.
Do you know something can i do for fix the problem?

Support is sometimes very slow even if serious problems are reported. Some issues do not get answers, questions concerning help are not answered.

The file locking feature is giving me headaches.
I want to lock only .pdf files, but the plugin locks all jpegs as well, resulting in a page with no images, backgrounds, etc… for non-logged in users.
I found this in UamConfig class:
'locked_file_types' => 'zip,rar,tar,gz',
'not_locked_file_types' => 'gif,jpg,jpeg,png',
but it doesn’t seem to do anything at all.
